Game Description
Collateral Damage is a top-down roguelike game where your weapons can hardly scratch the enemies—but deal massive damage to the environment! Use the environment to your advantage to defeat enemies, but watch out for some unintended consequences.
How does your game tie into the theme?
Woah, the world is fragile. Enemies poof out of nowhere, and you have weapons that barely give them a dent. However, your surroundings may be of aid in your dire situation.

Great art, audio, concept, just all of it😍. But there's one thing that confused me because there is no way to win? It would've been nice for the player to have a sense of accomplishment. I suggest adding a number of enemies to be killed or a timer.
Thank you for the feedback! There is actually a win condition it's just very hard to reach! We will definitely take your suggestions into account, thank you for checking out Collateral Damage!
Really nice job on the art style :)

Graphics and audio were very cool! I had some trouble figuring out how to make the arsonist's attacks work but had fun spontaneously combusting as the demolitionist :)
I had fun playing as the demolitionist. Having all the environment react to explosions is a clever tie-in to the theme. I also really enjoyed the speed of the movement. It added to the arcade feel.
I did find it tough to get kills since the enemy health regens so quickly. And I kept hoping for more progression, like leveling up my weapons or unlocking new skills.
Great work overall though!
Thank you for checking out the game! We may in the future adjust the regeneration of the enemies, to make killing them directly just a liiiittle bit more easy. Sorry we couldn't add any progression in the jam time!
Really interesting take on the theme! It takes quite a while to get a feel for the timing of the different environmental "attacks", but its fun to play around with and very chaotic, in a good way. Congrats on a super polished submission!
This was super fun, blowing up environment features and ninjas felt satisfying. I noticed that there is a second enemy type, but it takes quite a while to encounter one. I think this game would have been made even better with a third enemy type that was more common, just for variety. Great work!
Thank you so much for checking out Collateral Damage! We're glad you enjoyed the game. There is actually a third enemy, but it's hard to reach. We will look into adding more variation in enemies in the future.
Having the environment impacted by my actions is sweet.
The character description makes me want to play the game,
Nice soundtrack and splash screen
Nice job
Loved the base concept and never encountered any bugs or graphical glitches!
would have loved to see a further development of progression, but there is only so much you can do in a week!
Also loved the characters
It was a fun original concept - I'm not sure if there was an ending, but would be nice if it felt like you were building towards something, like a boss, or upgrades.
Sorry, it's not obvious in this build but there is in fact a win screen! We will look into giving the player more direct feedback, thank you.
The visual presentation and animations are simply magnificent.
From the welcome menu, we immediately feel our expectations rising!
I would have liked the enemies to move less quickly in order to better plan my destructive attacks, but the idea is great and it would benefit from being developed!
Gotta say, I had a great time. Took me a while to get the hang of it but ultimately it ended up being really fun. I like that there are more characters which add replayability. Overall a solid jam game. Really an underated entry.
Very interesting idea! solid game for a short jam. well done!
