Really beautiful spritework and ambience, and the opening cutscene was very professional. I liked the music a lot, it really enhanced the vibe. Looking forward to the devlog, it'll be neat to see how you put this together.

What a beautiful game! Would love to see how you did some of those visual effects, it looks so good!

Was a bit difficult to tell the range on my melee ability though, and the range of which enemies can hit me, but I was still immersed and enjoying myself.

The visual style is awesome. I love the cutscene at the start, the sound design is great, and the narration is just amazing aswell.

My feedback for the game:

- Some volume controls would be nice, as the volume is a bit too loud for my liking.

- Like others have said, the enemies are very punishing, and because it's hard to gauge your abilities range, it makes combat frustrating. A visual indicator, maybe increasing the range a bit, giving the player more health, or some other small tweaks could definitely fix this though.

Overall it's a solid game, and the presentation is very well done. I remember seeing your posts in the discord throughout the jam, and I'm glad I was able to play this game. Nice job!

Really lovely voice narration. Did you do it yourself? The cutscenes and general vibe were great. Gave me Wizards of Legend but as a deer vibes. Music was incredible and nature sounds were so relaxing and fit very well! Did you do the music yourself? I couldn't see attribution anywhere.

Feedback:

  • Attack radius isn't clear given the game angle: it looks like it was directed up, and indeed you can't hit enemies from below you, which felt a bit awkward.
  • Getting hit felt way too punishing and made it a bit frustrating to explore. It's so easy to die very quickly in a way that doesn't feel quite balanced. I wanted to run around as a deer more!
  • Not being able to dash through enemies' attacks with iframes felt like it negated the benefit of the dash, outside of the bear fight.
  • Bear fight felt a bit repetitive.
  • Enemies often got stuck on corners, and hitting enemies from afar without it drawing their aggression felt a bit strange.
  • The theme being that there was no final boss because I was too tired from using my powers, felt a bit anticlimactic. With the bear fight, I imagine there's no way to do a pacifist play through and and challenge the wolf?

Great work on this! Really enjoyed the vibe!

If you press the space bar, you carry out an attack, but if you die, you end the game. Most of the time you die in battle and when you are about to attack, the window closes. The range of the enemies' attacks is very difficult to judge, but apart from that the game is very pretty and the voiceover sounds really professional. Nice first game!

So it's very beautiful and addictive. It's funny. But hard at the same time. Enemy attack is big and painful.

If an enemy is underneath you, you will not be able to attack them with a pre-attack.

The graphics and visual design is amazing, but I feel like the gameplay is a bit lacking. The hitboxes are slightly off and the attacks are finicky what may  create frustration.  Good thing you saved it with the intro cutscene  ;D

Really great graphics and epic cutscene! Had issues with the melee hitbox and that the enemies could hurt you from really far away.  Also, game could have been a lil more related to the theme. Really cool game aside from that!

The graphics are awesome! I had difficulty playing the game because it was hard to tell what the ranges of the melee attacks were - at what range can I hit and get hit. I wish I could have seen the whole game, but it made me give up early.
