I was not expecting to enjoy a memorizing game but this was great!  As has been noted, the path generally felt generous but sometimes inconsistent.  You could use a Line2D to lay the path and generate the volumes between the points (with a little extra work to extend them so the edges meet correctly, the math for this is actually really easy and I can go over it if you're interested).

Also definitely wanted gamepad support, a thumbstick would have been nice to navigate with, esp since I used ctrl to slow down, the game closed (win11, firefox)!

Really appreciated the bread crumbs, couldn't have done it without them, and can imagine a lot of tweaks, like a limited amount so the oldest fades.

I also love what I think is a mutated version of in the hall of the mountain king.

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback :)

Totally agree on how it should have been done, will be playing with getting something like that working out of jam time. I'd already hit my learning limit for this jam, which I think is a good thing!

I've had a go with getting gamepad support working on my previous games, works locally but never on Itch (also win11, firefox), I'm not sure what I'm missing and would be very happy to support gamepads in the future.

I think limited breadcrumbs would work great on a full game as a difficulty setting, something like limit it to your last run on a harder difficulty.

And yep that's my go at an old school game style hall of the mountain king.

oh I'm so bad at memory games :D but nice it still shows the previous path.

Thanks for playing! I added the paths to make sure it wasn't too hard for a jam game :)

I had a blast playing this! Thank you for making the pathways a bit generous, although sometimes it felt inconsistent. I could complete some levels with my foot steps being fully off of the path.. other levels seemed to have a more strict detection.

Thanks for playing! Some of the collision polygons on the diagonals may be off, I'm not really happy with the diagonals overall, should have made sure they have equal width with the straights, I'm sure that's what I'd have done with one more day of dev time :)

Neatly executed and well polished game. The difficulty curve was well balanced as well.

Great and funny game! I fell several times XD

the diagonals are a challenge

Thanks for playing! I was a little worried the diagonals on level 7 where a bit too frustrating for a jam game, they still get me, hope I didn't go too far :)
