Wildcards Used
WILDCARD, the one allowing to use previous wildcard. I picked YOU WOT M8? of GWJ-31. It states to ignore the theme completely
Game Description
Enter the Ring of Joy, a roguelike card crawler where encounters come to you.
How does your game tie into the theme?
I used a wildcard from GWJ-31 YOU WOT M8? That tells to ignore the theme completely

Cool game, quite fun, though nothing happens after all the cards are gone and there is no way back to the menu
Thank you for your feedback.
There’s an issue with the system that checks Victory conditions. I’ll fix it as soon as possible
Great visual. Gameplay took a whiel to get use to. I think there is a slight problem with the orientation of the UI. Playing on fullscreen with a resolution of 3360 × 2100 places the cards at the very right-side of the screen.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ll fix that bug
I like card games, but I was not well aware of this particular mechanic, so I got lost at first. It’s an interesting idea, but for a broader audience, I would space out the process with some extra activities, like a deck manager, a story, etc. Thank you for the game!
Great idea for the deck manager.
I’ll see if I can implement that
I read through the comments before playing, which helped understand what to do, otherwise I would have been pretty lost. I hit the bug where there wasn't a victory screen, just nothing spawned eventually. I did get to a point in the last round where I had collected so many potions that the enemies did nothing to me, but with some balancing and variety of spells I think this would be pretty fun.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ll work on balancing the game
Very cheeky use of an old wildcard to make a little Ring of Pain-like. Card art is nice, and the controls worked well. Had some feedback on the gameplay:
- The loop for each ring is Spells to increase stats, then fight Monsters, and heal with Potions, yet the leveling spells were always placed in the back of each ring, making the progression not obvious at first, and then requiring you to scroll around to them each time once you understand the loop.
- With the spells just adding stat points, there wasn't a lot of variety in the strategy. Additionally, win or lose often just came down to how many Attack Up cards you managed to get, since even with high Defense, HP, or Speed, beating Monsters in fewer attacks is always more HP efficient since they trade damage with each attack.
- One run made it through the third Ring, and no 4th Ring spawned in, leaving me with just zero cards to interact with. Not sure if this was a bug or just the end of the game.
Thank you for your feedback
Best wildcard :D
Thank you
This is a nice little card game and a cheeky use of that Wildcard. Some flavor text on the monster cards would have been great. Nice job on your game!
Thank you for the feedback.
I’ll add that
This was pretty fun. At first I was confused because it had nothing to do with the theme, but then I saw the Wildcard you used and things made a lot more sense! Also, the gameplay is a little confusing. The objective isn't too clear, and I was also a little confused on some of the stats on the cards. But after a little bit of time playing, I started to understand it. Overall, pretty good game. Just needs a tutorial or a quick directions page. Good job!
Thank you for your feedback.
I’ll add an in-game tutorial
I couldn't really figure it out. I clicked on things until they disappeared. Then if the HP got low I clicked a heal card. I wasn't sure if I was fighting the cards or if they were fighting for me?
There's a solid foundation of a roguelike card game here, but I think it needed a tutorial or something cause I was lost.
Thank you for the feedback.
In fact you’re fighting against creature cards, you can use potion cards to heal and spell cards to increase your stats.
Yes, I’ll add a tutorial
really cool concept and use of the wildcard, took me a while to figure out how it works but once i did i wished the gameplay was longer!! solid work on the core game mechanics, wish there had been some music. good overall
Thank you for your feedback.
I wasn’t able to add music in time.
Im glad you liked it
