This is insane! I can't really think of much to improve upon. If I had to nit pick, maybe some of the enemies could be made a little easier to see; sometimes I didn't realise they were there for a bit, but maybe that's just me. The mirror rotation also seemed a little too sensitive at times. Otherwise, I think this is a perfect submission! Great work!

Developer

Thank you!

Regarding the enemies is something we agree but clearly we needed to do a little more (the reason why outlines are there on ships and asteroids is exactly this one), maybe some little lights could've been a good idea but it's good to know for the next time we do something like this.

And noted on the mirror rotation, maybe we could put it in the options as an accessibilty feature, together with mouse sensitivity, thanks for the input :D

Glad that you liked it!

That was pretty great.  Chaining multiple laser bounces across a network of mirrors and then scything down the enemy fleet is a lot fun and the upgrade loop keeps you playing/re-investing.  The only thing I wish there was more of was things to laser-- more enemies, more types of enemies, meltable asteroids, etc-- really great job.   Would want to see more of this.

Developer

Glad that you had fun!

Yeah, we thought about more enemies and different interactions with asteroids, but the time was limited and we already had to cut an almost implemented powerup system because otherwise we didn't have the time for tests and for bugfixing.

We will probably work some more on it, even though probably it will focus more on a desktop version instead of a web version.

I thought I did well enough to get to stage 17, then I saw the comment below ;-; hahaha

Anyway, great game! I liked the increase in difficulty and how the asteroids seems harmless at first, but then become a big problem when they keep blocking your lasers. I would suggest just a small increase in contrast between the ships and the background. Congrats!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

And yeah, we put down an outline on the ships but we clearly need something to make them stand out some more, expecially the small ones, maybe some little lights or something like that, but the time was what it was.

GIVE ME MORE ENEMIES!!!

Great entry, can’t add anything to it. Graphics, Audio, Control, Addictive Gameplay all was great. The screenshot was from my second try of the game. Didn’t really had any chance to lose there with over 300 damage on the top left corner mirror.

Developer (1 edit)

Hahaha, well done! Glad that you liked the game, probably we will need to work a little more on the scaling of everything otherwise it becomes kinda impossible to lose (and thus a little boring,), but in general we're happy with the result. Thank you again for trying!

Clearly an stronger  contender of the jam. I had fun playing it and specially liked the way the game gets more complicated an the combos you can make with the mirrors. Very well done!

Developer

Thank you very much!

VERY strong entry for this game jam, it's a shame not many people played it. It's very hard but it's rewarding, feels very fun and well balanced. I got to stage 9.

At first, the asteroid looked like minable gold so I attacked them

Developer

Ah the mineable asteroids could have been a really nice idea! Didn't think about that, and it would've been easy to implement too, thank you for the input!

And thanks for appreciating the game, we're trying a little bit more games right now since we're more free and leaving comments, let's hope to have some more feedback from the other jammers.

The sound effects are astonishing, and the gameplay is really fun for how hard it is. Great work on this!

Developer

Thank you very much!

And yeah, we have to kick away the sound guy, he's too good for us, he put the others to shame :-D

Developer

Hey, I'm the sound guy, thanks a lot for your kind words! I just finished your game and it's awesome! Probabily one of my favourites of this jam : )

It was quite fun to play! I enjoyed building a max-bounce structure and then trying to aim the last ray where I needed :) It was fun to see that platforms can blow up when not upgraded enough! And getting the damage over 100 was rather satisfying :)

The only issue was that that game was quite laggy, and almost froze a few times

Developer

Thank you very much!

Yeah, we are kinda conscious of the performance issues but we didn't have the time and the experience to address them sadly.

Happy that you enjoyed it!

One of the best I've played this jam. Everything is going really well with this one - the visuals, audio, controls and gameplay. Everything is well thought out and the game is fun to play. It's a pretty simple idea but I feel like there's naturally a huge skill ceiling to it. Great work! Congrats on the submission.

Developer

Yeah, we decided for some more features but we just scrapped those due to time constraints, as is always the case for these jams :D

Thank you very much for playing :D

Great entry for this jam. I like the level up system for your ship and mirrors. Good job!

Developer

Thank you a lot!
