Beautiful pixel art and a calm atmosphere. While loud, the music is nice and accommodating to the game. Enjoyed the subtle complexity to the puzzles in each room, getting more and more complicated and needing different skills to solve. Overall very well polished and quite fun, would love to see what else could be done with the puzzles.

Great job!

Really enjoyed playing through your game! The light beam bounces are so satisfying and there was lots to play for a jam, 10 levels all nicely designed and well balanced with the additional light beams to assist with the increasing complexity. Level 9 was a head scratcher for a bit but I was keen to figure it out and eventually did :D

The simplicity of the UI is very well suited and I loved the bouncy fade in/out on restart/level change. The only thing I'd say is player speed does seem a bit needlessly slow but everything else was great :)

Great work!

Great puzzler with a fantastic level design! Without lore it feels a bit weird why bullets are "light" and why are you afraid of cameras - it feels more like a spy/stealth game where you shoot stuff :)

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game! Yeah, lore-wise the game is a bit lacking and I would like to improve that in the future. Also I agree with you in that the light looks too much like a bullet, haha. I'll look into that. Appreciate the feedback!

Very nicely done. I love the mechanics, the visuals, and the audio. My only real complaint is the somewhat slow speed in which the character moves, but aside from that, this is genuinely great.

Developer

Glad you liked the game! I was thinking a lot about the character movement speed when I was playtesting as well. Maybe adding a sprint option would be a good idea, or just generally increasing the speed. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Great idea for a game! I love a good puzzle pixel art game. One suggestion that popped into my head when playing the game was that maybe the character movement animation could be improved upon for future releases. Other than that amazing entry!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and glad you enjoyed the game! Some improved character animations would be nice, I might look into that in the future! :D

Okay, if my solution to level 10 is actually the intended one (bouncing a shot off the mirror mid-throw) then that's just mean.

Other than that, it looks pretty, its a polished, smooth experience, the mechanics are intuitive and easy enough to understand (with a minor exception where I had to alt tab to the game's description to find out you can pick up those mirrors), the controls are smooth... yeah its pretty good I guess.

(Okay fine I feel like I'm looking at a game that's like mine except better in every way. That's like a compliment, right?)

Developer

Cheers for the feedback! In the future, I'll likely implement a controls screen as well as some short tutorials to guide the player, which should definetely help with each of the games mechanics including the mirrors. :)

A really good and unique puzzle game. I felt so smart figuring our levels 9 and 10 on my own. It looks beautiful, sounds amazing, a lovely experience all around.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game, and congrats on getting through level 9 and 10! They are challenging indeed, haha.

Really nice entry! well done. The puzzles are fun! and the mechanic matches pretty well the jam theme. Maybe the difficulty curve steeps a bit much at level 9, it would have been nice to have a little bit more feedback with the mirror-throwing mechanic.
Definitely a great contender!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I will likely be adding in some extra levels involving the mirror throwing mechanic for future builds, because the difficulty jump is quite jarring.

Great game. I like the way the character casts the light, it feels sooo smooth. I got stuck on level 9 though; don't know how to throw the round mirror so that my light can reach the enemy. But - I love the game anyway, everything is so polished and nice :)

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game! Level 9 is a tricky one, hehe.

Sick idea my dude! Love how the UI for the reflective surfaces are very well telegraphed.

Developer

Thanks heaps! Glad you liked the trajectory UI, I was very happy with it as well. :)

Challenging puzzle game and a cool idea! I really like the art style. Made it to level 9.

Developer

Glad you liked it! It does indeed get much harder from level 9 onwards haha.
