Solid platformer with minimalism for the visuals!

GAMEPLAY
The platformer was engaging and challenging, with smooth controls enhancing the experience. The option that you have to wait until you die (idea is funny) made me just close the game and restart it, that took too long. Maybe the hitboxes could have been sharper, but it didn't bother me during gameplay.

ART STYLE / VISUALS
The minimalist visual style was effective and distinctive, fitting well with the overall design of the game. Though the hitboxes could be fine-tuned for precision.

AUDIO / SOUND DESIGN
Think the sound fitted with the design well.

INNOVATION
The game didn't feature notable innovations but was well-executed within the platformer genre.

THEME
The theme was present but not explored in depth, though it was sufficient to meet the game jam's criteria.

Overall a good fun platform game and nice game jam entry. Well done đź’Ş

Overall a really solid game, good work! The troll pit was kinda annoying and could’ve gotten the message across actually killing you instead of forcing you to wait and then close the game. I think the hitboxes are actually fine once you understand what they are, but the art is misleading about what is your hitbox, which seems to clearly communicate it should just be your body as those little spindly legs look insignificant and like they shouldn’t matter. I mean, it’s still hitbox issue, ultimately, but I think that’s the specific reason it feels not the greatest. didn’t particularly like the audio, especially of the geiger counter especially in the pit, but I wonder if someone with more of an affinity for those kinds of crinkly sounds would actually like it a lot more.

Probably a bit on the hard side for a jam game, but not overly so. I appreciated the way you developed the jumps towards the end (ie having to drop down and use your double jump at a few points), it’s clear you have an understanding of what makes 2d platformers. You passed my “does the jump feel okay” test which so many jam games fail to, so good job :)

really enjoyed playing this entry, the movement was nice and clean nothing fancy but effective and you were able to create a really deep atmosphere with minimalistic art/audio/text which was impressive. your display of text and the enter key really worked for some reason. the game felt a lot like an old flash game i would waste hours on. nice job!

Cool game! The simple art had its own kind of charm to it, and I really liked all the secrets with different routes and trinkets. Also liked the sound effects and music, especially with the buildup with additional voices being added as you progress. My biggest gripe is with horizontal hitboxes, as they feel too big for certain spikes, extending past the actual sprites. The countdown after getting the last battery part is cool, but I think a steady countdown would've worked better than the sort of random beeping. Took me a couple tries to get the good ending, but it was pretty fun, and I enjoyed the mysterious bunker stuff and the small shortcut it led to.

Also couldnt finish but got to the last battery part, the checkpoints are a great addition, the biggest problem for me is the player hitbox, its too big, I guess it includes the spikes/hair aswell but they are so thin that having only the center part would be better, 99% of my death where by horizontal collision, like I try to just get close to a spike to jump and die. Also fell on the trap pit and had to restart the game as the time to die was too much... I Liked the trinkets and some platforming parts felt good(the ones where you drop and jump later, and the others where you jump and wait to get the right height to jump again).

Very simple but actually very enjoyable game. Couldn´t complete it because there was a part where the spikes hitbox didn´t let you go that way. Well done!

I like how simple artsyle of this game is.

Played and rated. I think it's a nice simple game, I couldn't finish it though the spike hitboxes are pretty frustrating and the checkpoint is a bit too far in some places. Other than that the art style and sound are pretty fitting, I saw there was some background story as well it was pretty nice!

The art was too simple, the controls were good but the hitbox of the spikes was designed bad I think. The secrets, the trinkets and the surprises were very good! Good job on that!

The art-style was nice and neat, the platforming was good but the collidors are very unforgiving, I also found some trinkets they were a great addtion. Overall pretty decent entry.

I really like all the little secrets and trinkets you scattered across the game. The platformer physics feel very nice to use, however the spike hitbox are very unforgiving. It's not a big deal since there are many checkpoints but It may be better if hitboxes were smaller. Usually in platformers like this one, spike hitboxes are smaller than the visuals.

The speedrun timer is a nice addition. As a speedrunner, I couldn't help trying to set a good time :)
The respawn mechanic is quite exploitable. At the beginning you can skip a part by running into the spikes you can skip some checkpoints before the part where you have to do the level backwards so you don't have to play every room. I got a time of 2:58.

I really like the simplicity artstyle of the game, but over time the soundscape got really annoying. I did enjoy the world building and level design, even though some of the hitboxes did feel off at times. All in all a fun little game that has potential!

i like the art, remember me for the cellphones games, good mechanic and level design, some sections the sound effect maybe are to loud, the ambient feels really cool, good entry x3
