Nice arcade feel but what I subpost to do?
Thank you so much for playing! To proceed, you need to go to the objects in the center of the map, press the spacebar, and wait for the robot to repair them while fending off the enemies
A fun and hectic short game! The colors were incorporated, even though there were only a few, and the theme was also present. So check for those two😊!
The shooting felt satisfying with the sound effects and the execution, especially with the blood splatters. I think weapon power-ups could have been a great addition. The few different enemy types made it fun to stay alert and watch out for the smaller ones. Polished game concept.
The music matched the action, and the pixel art looked good also and coherent.
A fun jam entry to play—well done! 😊
I'm extremely happy you enjoyed the game! Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!
Unfortunately, I got sick during the jam, so I was only able to work on it for about 4 days.
My initial idea was to give the robot a few more functions, but the limited time was my enemy, and I had to simplify things.
If I decide to move forward with the project, I’ll definitely think about adding some cool power-ups. Once again, thank you for your kind words!
Fun little game! I played up to level 4, and I wanted to share some thoughts:
First off, I really like the polished feel of the game. Everything fits together nicely, and it’s clear that a lot of effort went into it.
That said, I’d love to see some improvements, especially with the robot. Right now, its purpose seems to be just moving from point A to point B and serving as a target. Giving it more functionality could add depth to the gameplay. For example:
Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and I think it has great potential for further iteration. Fantastic work, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
Thank you so much for your kind words, for playing, and for your feedback and suggestions!
Unfortunately, I only had 4 days to work on it, which really limited me in terms of mechanics.
Some of the ideas you suggested were things I had initially thought of, but I couldn’t implement them in time.
However, I’ll be sure to note everything down for this project or future ones. Thank you so much!
Great game!
Had a lot of fun playing it.
The only thing I would change is add a reason to play in the robot view. Right now you start the level, go to the thing you need to analyze and enter spaceship mode. Once you are in spaceship mode there is no reason to go back to robot mode.
Maybe having some power ups, or having to analyze 2 things in the same level (causing you to have to pick the right moment to switch to robot view) could add that extra depth of play.
Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! I only had 4 days to work on the game, so I couldn’t implement all the features I wanted it to have.
That said, I completely agree with you—right now, the perspective-switching feels a bit limited in its utility.
I would have loved to have more time to bring my ideas to life, but even so, I hope you had fun!
Enjoyed playing it, it has a simple game loop but very well done and sound/music/game-play all fit very well together.
shooting felt satisfying, a bit hectic at times with a lot of enemies that also split but that added to the game
Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! I hope you had fun with the little the game has to offer
Wait hollon I hear the legend of zelda and sonic samples in the song choices, okay I see u lol (im such a nerd)
Anyway YOOO!!!! THE FIRST PERSON SHOOTING ON THE SHIP!!! YOOOO!?!?!?! shi was awesome. I was utterly blown away at the use of the second perspective. With that being said, I wish there was more reason for me to switch between the perspectives, for example, picking up powerups on foot, then the powerup applies to a different shot when you switch to the ship, or maybe looking out for landmines on foot so you make sure not to blow them up from the ship view.
Theres only one part of the game where I had a genuine issue though- when repairing the machine in the middle of the level using spacebar, it sends you to the ship shooting mode. I instinctually pressed G like the tutorial to leave this mode as I was about to get hit, but my movement was locked. I found out that if you press space to activate first person, to get your movement back, you have to press space again and not G. I think I would find it easier if you just needed to stand near the repair machine to activate it, then only Space activates the shooting mode. Having it tied to two different buttons kind of confused me a bit.
Beyond that though, the wow factor more than made up for it! This was an exhilarating shoot em up experience! nice camera effects too, I felt the ship's power. First person perspective/10
Wow, such a detailed feedback, thank you so much for playing and for sharing your rich experience!
Unfortunately, I only had about 4 days to work on the project, so I had to leave a lot of things out.
Initially, I planned to give the robot more functionality, which would have justified the perspective switching, but I couldn’t make it happen.
I hope that didn’t affect your experience too much and that, despite this, you still had fun with the game.
Once again, thank you for your kind words!
This felt really nice to play! The screen shake was not overdone and made the blood explosions feel meaty and visceral. Nicely done!
I'm extremely happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback. If I had been able to work on it for more than 4 days, I believe I could have added some more interesting features
That was shockingly fun, responsive, and challenging! I loved it. The enemies being reduced to bloody smears really does help paint 1,000 words with each screenshot. I don't have any suggestions for the core gameplay, but I would pick a pixelated font for the cutscenes. The game definitely fits the jam's theme fine enough, especially with the colors used. I was expecting further commentary about the alien species to make me feel worse for shooting them, however.
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! I'm extremely happy you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to expand the mechanics and add more variety, as I only had 4 days to work on it. But I tried my best to make it fun, and it’s truly gratifying to know I succeeded, even if just a little
it's good, the shoot is soo satisfying
Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you found the gameplay satisfying
This game is so good! I really like the mechanic, and I think it can be expanded into a full game. It feels so satisfying to shoot! It's pretty hard at the beginning because it gets hectic and I didn't know where the small things were coming from, but after dying a couple of times, I figured it out. Very good job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Unfortunately, I fell ill over the past few days and only managed to work on it for about 4 days, but it’s incredibly rewarding to know I was still able to provide some fun despite the limited time. Thank you so much for playing!
