Normally I'm not a fan of eye dialect but I think you pulled it off really well here - I got a good sense of the character's voice without it coming across as pejorative or difficult to understand. Great job! (Although being from God's own county myself, I am biased ;) )

Technically I don't think it counts as 'eye' dialect since I write by sound. I'm from Yorkshire, too and write the accents of my childhood.  There's a lot that could be added to the Australia part of their story. But I don't know very much about Australia, so I'd worry it wouldn't be authentic. I have a few ideas about this, though. Thank you for the feedback, good to meet someone from Yorkshire!

Very interestingly told - I liked the regional accents in the text.
Shines a light on the kind of social prejudices back then.

Would have liked more choices to branch the story.

The atmosphere is great! Awesome job.

Fun!  I liked the photographic imagery.  Would really enjoy playing this as  a full game.

Like the atmosphere ! Choices are good. Too bad there's no audio :(

I've been captured xD

Good work !

Learning how to include audio is on the list for this year. I never play games with sound, but I can see how it adds to the atmosphere.

I won freedom, though not for Jack. Cool game :)

Originally I wanted to have William try to free his uncle from jail. However, more research  lead to the discovery that wasn't historically accurate. Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Educational, and I also liked that there were some choices in there. I would have liked if it were a bit more clear which words were choices and not though, since it all looks pretty much the same.

Well done. :)
