On what countries' history is the game based ?
Germany
Put anything you want to be immediately visible on your jam page here:
Drag and Drop Germanes to surprise Romans. Drag the slider to see whats coming. You will always have to Drop all Germanes to start the validation. You may reset their positioning using the respective button. Inspired by the battle of the Teutoburg Forest.

I also enjoyed the idea and it felt very inspiring! Would love to see this taken a bit further. The main issue I had was the fact that I don’t know why I failed. I had to resort to comments here to understand I was at all hiding bur even so, I sadly didn’t manage to complete the first level. There was so much friction in the replay-state that made me have to give up. :( The fact that you were not able to relocate one, but had to reset, and then the play was so fast it was very difficult to understand why I was loosing.
Would try again if I got any hints here. I believe I’ve tried every rock, hill and tree. 😂
The graphics are super cute tho. :>
Like the graphics and the idea -but it was hard to actually place them.
the background "music" is pretty annoying, i didin't know i had to hide the little blue guys so i almost gave up of playing the game but i read some comments that told me what i had to do so i played the game again and this time it was fun.
Cute graphics and the calculation for the line of sight in red is clever.
I failed on my first attempt - presumably as I placed some men in the red.
I tried again but the start button no longer worked.
Great game and cool graphics. I would have liked some sort of tutorial and it was a bit buggy, but besides that good job.
It took me a while to understand that I was supposed to *hide* from the enemies, lol. When I did, it was fun to find the right place, but eventually I just put most of them behind the right rock so it was a bit easier than I thought it would be. Overall, fun little game with cool graphics too. :)
Not badly done. Initially the gameplay was glitchy until I went into full screen mode. Only then did the game work properly.
Ability to zoom in and out on the game scene would be nice to fully appreciate the graphics.
Overall nice and simple.
Really fun game. Every time I was scared my warriors would get spotted by the enemy. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Really short but really fun!
Great idea for a game,I like how it was made and it has cool animation.
Well done,guys!
Doesn't work
Funny game,I like the animation!
Fun game, I like the design of the people. I like that you can slide the enemies to see their path before you play.
Great 3D game art!
Kudos! Great idea for the code jam subject, creative and smart implementation plus a challenging gameplay. Well done.
Really cool concept, and the slider to show the roman pathing is a very effective planning tool. Getting the gist of what you as a player need to do took some time however.
Good effort!
Love the game idea - took a bit to work out to play - great job for the time frame.
Clever Gameplay! Only if I may how did you make the enemy view system? it cought my eye and would love to know your implementation.
Thank you! The github repository is now linked on the games itch.io site (https://github.com/schweikart/historically-accurate-game-jam-5). The view system is an adaptation of Sebastian Lague's (https://itch.io/profile/sebastian) implementation.
Cool concept, took a bit to figure out what to do. Like the UI and the models
