A nice little fun Game! I enjoyed it while it lasted but there are a few things i would maybe change.
- Displaying the Ammunition and Reload Time on the UI because i didn't even noticed where the Ammunition is and when I can shoot again until after i was already in the 2nd stage.
- Maybe putting in an HP bar for the Jeep or something. It says protecting the Jeep but I didn't really understood on when the Jeep actually dies or if it even can Die (didn't die on me at least)
Other than that, it is a really fun Game!

For your second game ever made, I am very impressed! It was a fun little game, especially implementing an upgrade system! That is an awesome feat that you should be proud of! I also had fun replaying it to see how far I can go.

Some feedback I have is that you could benefit from having some UI or indicator about the objectives and weapons, since I realized after my 3rd? playthrough that there was a reload cooldown for the guns. I also ended up not using the parry, since I was left unsure what exactly the parry was supposed to do.  (A block? Does it push enemies away? Etc).

Overall nice small experience! Well done!

This was awesome! It was difficult to see at times in these caves, but I did enjoy the progressive upgrades every time I died. Felt like I was getting stronger! Poor Jeep took a heck of a beating, but I'm sure it'll be okay. I enjoyed jamming out the music as it seemed to get more and more chaotic with every level.

I was able to find that each time I failed a level and came back to it, I'd have the ability to free-form float around, as though gravity steadily rotated its way upwards. The more times I failed, the stronger my ability to float upwards aggressively, which meant some wild movements as I engaged in dogfights with the flying pebbles!

I enjoyed the game, I wasn’t able to get too far in it with the limited time I have, but it was fun when everything clicked. The roguelike elements were cool.

It took a while for me to understand there was an end to the stage because the overhead number wasn’t obvious at first and I wasn’t seeing it go down even after killing a couple enemies, maybe it was and I didn’t notice but I only saw the number decrease after killing multiple pebbles. It also wasn’t obvious to me how the bullet system worked at first, I only saw the recharge timer a lot later on. I think making it a bit more obvious or making the recharge sound more noticeable would have helped.

Great job overall, I’ll try to give it another try later.

I like the upgrade system, it leaves alot of room for customization! Quite alot of variety of upgrades for a gamejam game. A little floaty on the controls side for my liking, but might just be me.
Overall, pretty fun, and there's alot to tinker around with!

  • Short game, but some nice little touches for the game jam:
    • Jeep hops around, pretty cute
    • Having an ending cutscene is also quite nice.
  • Art style is simple/silly but well suited to a game jam. Lighting helps a lot.
  • Found some bugs that did make things a lot easier
    • Sometimes I would seemingly float throughout the stage. Not sure if that was a bug or not, but it did make things a lot easier.
    • Also, I could shoot through the thin platforms which made fighting the enemies a lot easier.
  • Interesting concept, upgrading through dying, adds a difficulty scaling aspect to the game where you have motivation to try dying less and experiencing a harder game. Not a bad game design concept.
  • My high score is only 2 deaths but I did run into the glitches I found earlier.
