Description
Haunted by doubts about his own skills, a samurai embarks on a journey to the Far Reaches, seeking wisdom and strength to reclaim his confidence.

To be honest, I had some troubles coming up with ideas for this, so once again I tried to keep it simple. I still struggle with mixing and mastering orchestral pieces.

Plugins used:
- BBC Symphony Orchestra (Horns, Spiccato Violas/Violin, Flute)
- DSK AsianDreamZ (Flute).
- Taiko Drum by Sample Science
- Sakura by FL Studio

It was cool to see how you took the theme from the jam and adapted it to a new story, really cool!

Like others mentioned, i agree with the muddiness.

What FoxHyode mentioned is solid advice, and it feels like some of the muddiness is also caused by the constant taiko drum. If you have a sample of a smaller taiko drum, maybe you could use that for the pulse of the rhythm and then use the bigger drum for emphasising the accents.

But the melodic/harmonic material itself is great, just with a bit tweaked arrangement/orchestration this could be even better.

Good job!

Really cool opening sequence. Absolutely loved it and had some really great atmosphere. I agree with the other comments from Turtlebox and the textures getting a little close elsewhere. Overall though, a really good composition!

Okay, super cool track. I really like the intro especially at 30 secs with the little stick percussions from left to right really nice. Now the main part where the cresendo hits cymbals is a great choice but I think you can change symbals, something with more "crash" on it. For the strings, make them move, strings like to move more and since your melody and strings are pretty clustered like Turtlebox said its pretty muddy by default juste because of the arrangement, if you open the voicing of your strings, use some woodwinds to help the melodic part it will be fantastic. Good job !

Good orchestration work, and the arpeggio also fascinated me.

The mixing kind of gets really muddy once all the instruments kick in, it becomes hard to hear through how intense the lows and mid-lows are.

The instrument choice is nice, although I'm hearing a lot of people used Taiko drum. Certainly far from bad, it's a good track, I just think there could have been a lot more texture and melodic work here.

True, I tried a few things for that part in 1:00, EQ, Compression and more. But it ended too thin or too loud. Now that you mentioned, I though it was the middle frequencies, but it is actually the low ones. I will try a few changes.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think what would really help is if you rolled up your EQ.  Check around the 30-40hz range, make some minor tweaks there and it should be really solid with some panning, dial everything down and add a split doubler (Here's a free one - https://www.kvraudio.com/product/thesplit-by-thezhe ) and sort of dial it up real slow in the mix till it sounds wider and louder without clipping or needing to saturate.
