I really like this game, it takes the theme of the jam and spreads it across the game extremely well, I love the difficulty curve and how I really felt invested, it is a shame that there is no music as I think this would bring a great new flavour to the game, but it is fine, when I looked at the power-ups, I didn't know how to use them, so I think it would be helpful if you added a little line saying that you had to press 'E' overall, I had a bunch of fun with this game, a great accomplishment!

Great game, designed very well, having players constantly think of where they should go and the items are well balanced not making anything too op. I have some problem with the feedback, the stick and desk sometimes break when i think they wouldn't cuz I can't really tell when they will break and i've lost many lives cuz of that. If you've got some time i think you can make this into a mobile game, i think it'd fit pretty well. Other than that great submission!

This is a great example of taking a simple core concept and making an enjoyable challenge out of it. There's very much a constant mental analysis of finding safe places to stand. While it starts quite slow, the difficulty ramps up nicely to where I found myself making positional errors or being overzealous when attempting to collect coins: Risk vs Reward.
I would like to see some visual indication of when a coin is about to disappear, so the player can more easily make moment-to-moment judgments. There were times when I would decide to move for a coin only to have it vanish with very little feedback. Additionally, the prompts for what I'm about to buy might be better placed in a dedicated section of the screen that does not obstruct the view of the corner.
Overall, very fun and well put together!

Absolutely LOVED this, really enjoyed how challenging the game became as you progressed on. Loved the strategy element to looking after Grandad, the desk might have been my favourite! Really good job, you should be very happy and very proud!
Quite similar to mine, but I think yours is much more polished in comparison. Mainly because you have powerup. I tried to do the same but I didn't have the time. Didn't have much time to read the power ups though sadly. Too much going on. Maybe a UI explaining them properly as an additional scene?

This was a fun game. The controls and rules are simple, which goes well with this type of games. I really have no complaint about the game mechanics.
Two suggestions if you ever plan to continue working on it:
1. Add a leaderboard: I think trying to beat that high score makes the game even more addictive, so a leaderboard might create more incentive for players. You can also record the player's own high score. This might be easier to implement.
2. I can also imagine playing this on the bus. So maybe you could consider creating a mobile version.

Thanks for the feedback! A mobile version sounds like an awesome idea, I’ll look into that and I’ll also look into having a leaderboard for everyone’s score. I had a personal high score counter with playerprefs in unity but it unfortunately didn’t work in webgl

I think it's a bit long before you die, one heart would have been enough if the goal of the game is to have highest score of coins. I mean, it's fun but there's not much novelty after you've seen all the powerups. Or maybe decrease the time between the shooter spawn and the bullet spawn.
I liked the amp-up in difficulty. In the beginning the powerups don't seem super useful, but as it gets harder it makes sense to keep stacking them up!

Very cool, impressed that you did all the assets and art by yourself too. Only complaint is that I cant sit still long enough to read the item descriptions haha.

I really liked the mechanic of having to go in a corner to buy a certain item. The game could use a small tutorial to explained how each item works but overall I like the experience!
