Interesting and fun game! I like games with food)
I thought it was a cool idea! At first I tried to make real food, but may have preferred poisoning my friend with "creative" combinations by the end. I would have liked a text pop-up or something telling me what monstrosities I was making though. Maybe something where "real" combinations had names (like eggs + toast = breakfast), and horrible ones got generic "mystery food" labels (bananas + fish anyone?). That way even though the output was always the soup model due to the asset limitation, it would feel like everything was different.
Other than the incredibly noticeable jitter while moving the camera, a good idea! Really thinking out of the box with this one. Good job
I like the concept of mixing cooking ingredients like most cooking games. I didn't notice any feedback from the friend, so I wasn't sure if he liked it. A couple of bugs with the camera but the gameplay is fun and has room to be fleshed out!
For the friend's reaction, maybe the emotes pack could spice things up!
To fix camera jitter is to remove Time.deltaTime and if you using rigidbody for movement is better to give him physics material because without it, is very sticky on walls.
This was a game that I was excited to try right from the description. One of the most interesting takes on the theme I've seen so far. Unfortunately I wasn't able to play too much as I found the mouse controls for looking were really difficult, but that may have been the track pad I had to use. It kept fighting my inputs and I found my look would get locked in a direction.
That said, the core gameplay is really fun. I love the breath-of-the-wild style cooking experiment, and just getting to throw random things together was a ton of fun. I agree with the other commenters that it would have been good to have some sort of interaction with your friend to know if you succeeded or not though. Otherwise, awesome concept that I would love to see more done with it in the future!
floating carrots, and floating chickens, couldn't ask for more!
context: i found a bug where i can make objects float after putting them on the table
Nice concept but without feedback it's difficult to know what our friends like or not ^^'
Neat idea, but controls were very janky. My friend didn't like my fish and egg soup
Great effort! The movement was a but janky though...
Fun idea, I think you could make funny interactions with the friend, like some messages or emotes when he is eatings to see what he likes the most.
I made like 4 or 5 plates and he liked them all, so I must be a 4 star chef, at least...
Thanks you! I was thinking about some feedback from the friend to player, but there was not much time left. Anyway, great results! If I was playing this game without knowing all combinations, I would definitely fail..
Interesting idea! I would put all ingredients in one place rather than running around the place. And description on each ingredient would be nice as well - to know what you mix.
Thank you for your advices!
Fun idea! I immediately tried to find the worst combination possible. He was oddly neutral about the banana cheese soup I made.
Thanks! BTW, food combinations based on real food compatibility and yes, somehow banana and cheese combination is not so bad...
I really like this concept! The music is fun too. Only thing I would consider changing is collision detection and movement.
I liked the concept! The movement felt a bit stiff however. The friend did not like the food I made him sadly :(
