I liked the controls of the main character. I do wish that there would be more purpose to the different ammo types. Maybe have it so using the opposite temperature of the bullet would deal double damage(using a fire bullet would do 2x damage on the ice enemies and vice versa)
I think more game play mechanic can be built around the concept. But nice efforts and congrats on completion of game
The particles for the bullets exploding look really pretty! I found myself using both bullets simultaneous since there wasn't a limitation to doing that. It seemed like the enemies would go down regardless of the weapon type I was using; something that you had intended to implement but didn't quite get time to do? But you may want to include some sort of a temperature system, where you can only use hot when you are cool and you can only use cool shots when you are hot. That would make it more strategic to determine when to switch between them. And otherwise limit us from spamming both since that will trivialize the need to switch etc. The visual style is nice and I think that you could definitely build off of this. Having a spawn for enemies that you can destroy is very cool too.
Good start to a game here. I guess you wanted to originally require that you hit the enemies with the correct ammo (I used a similar mechanic in my submission) but didn't get a chance to get that working; would be good to see a version where that mechanic is working.
It's fun but sound might've helped. The cute doodle art gives it a NewGrounds kinda vibe.
The controls work well and the art is nice but it needs some polish. I didn't notice any difference between the two fireballs. Some variety in enemy behavior and level layout would also make things more interesting. I ended up just standing in the same spot, mowing through one wave of enemies without a problem and then moved to the next one and did the exact same there.
Great job! Didn't run into any problems, a fun and concise experience.
Good functionality but not sure if the snow/fireballs did much different. Enemies can pass through walls but bullets can which can make it a tad unfair at times. Good job on the art!
Everything worked well! I didn't really notice if the snowballs and fireballs had any different effect, may want to increase the disparity of how sensitive each enemy is to the opposite temperature.
I love the art!!!! the scientist is so cool, with the leg animations and everything. I like the different elements. Not sure what the red block is (if its my health It doesn’t follow me) and not sure what to do about the door. Keep it up!!!
The red block is a test block to see if my partical system is working. The door is used for changing rooms. Thank you for playing it, and reviewing it, it is really encouraging for me, and serves as a motivation for finishing it.
