This was a fun one - I really like how you made your game more accessible by offering an easier mode.

Cute looking game :) I'd just give the ability for the character to walk faster and let it travel inside platforms for the possibility of more interesting puzzles

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment! I couldn’t figure out why the human doesn’t move with the platform, so I made a lazy move and left it like that. But it’s true, if the human moved with the platform, I could make it a puzzle :)

I didn't have much problem playing it, controls are fine, the sounds and graphics are cute. Don't hesitate doing more playable stuff for future jams :)

Developer

Thanks, I will definitely make more playable stuff :)

Absolutely loved the sketchy art style! I think you did quite well for your first jam and I hope to see you in future jams! Keep on creating!

Developer

Thank you! I will definitely participate in future Game Jams again, it was a lot of fun :)

Really liked the visuals. Good puzzles and a lot of timing challenge. This was really fun. Great work!

Fun take on a puzzler. The visuals match up with it well to make for a neat little game.

Developer

Thank you :)

Very nice little game ! The visuals style is lovely & kuddos on recording the sfx yourself.

Took me a little while to realise the blob could walk on walls. The puzzle are pretty simple but it works well & the time limit make them just challenging enought.

Great work ! especially for a first jam :)

Developer

Thank you very much! :)

As mentioned in another reply to a comment, I had a small tutorial at the beginning, but I removed it because of some bugs. It is indeed not very clear at the beginning. I should have left the tutorial in :D

Your game ooozes charm. I love the handmade feel of the whole thing, the drawings, the voiced audio, the music which I assume is made from random things you found around your house? the Scatman reference?! Some of the levels I found to be more annoying than interesting though, mostly because of the frustrations that came with timing something wrong, after having slowly creeped your way past a bunch of blinking lasers. The human could've maybe been a little bit faster too. There were some nice aha moments in amongst the puzzles. Having the ooze that can climb on walls was quite cool. Btw, nice walking animation, very smooth. Awesome work for your first game jam! Keep making games :D

Developer

Thanks for the comment and your opinion! I did indeed make the music by sampling random things around the house :D

As for the level design, maybe a few checkpoints in the level would make it less annoying, but then again, I have to admit that I didn’t invest much time in the level design. Next time I will definitely invest more time in better level designs that are less frustrating.

I will continue to make games and participate in game jams, it was fun! Thanks again for this nice comment and your feedback :)

This game made me laugh a lot! I really liked it, nice job! The animations were very good. I couldn't pass that one difficult level, with many lasers so if you could give me a hint with it that would be great haha

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Making people laugh was one of our goals. As for the difficult level with all the lasers, I did it with the intention of getting to the button near the end with the blob as quickly as possible. Generally you have 15 seconds until the horizontal laser shoots. I know this part is quite hard and an option to skip the level would be a big improvement, I think :)

OK, I'll give it another shot and hopefully pass :D

Very clever idea to limit the time the blob can leave the host. The animation of the blob and it's movement felt very satisfying. Charming sound effects and the music stayed in the background, which is a must have for puzzle games. I liked that it could climb walls, but it took me a while to figure out in Stage 1! I found the timer of the hall with the many lasers and the laser behind the host a bit cruel. Other than that, good job!

Developer

Thanks for the comment and suggestions! In my previous version I had a little tutorial at the beginning, but I removed it because of some bugs, it’s indeed not very clear at the beginning. Yes, the hall level with all the lasers was a bit cruel :D
