I like the pixel art! The jumping mechanic is a bit uncomfortable in my opinion, if you are sticking with it, I recommend having a bar that goes up when you are holding down the space button to indicate to the player how strong a jump you are going to do.

The animation and art look amazing but the part that we have to hold shift for jump kinda takes the fun away but overall i liked it

I really enjoyed the pixel art and animation.  It would be much better if the sprite moves faster horizontally.  I'm not sure not being able to change direction once you jump is a design choice.  If it is, I recommend showing some sort of jump indicator so the player can see where they would land when they let go.

So yea, the art style on this is great. Really nice. Unfortunately, the controls are difficult to come to grips with. I thought my build must be bugged or something because I was having to hold down for so long to get the character to jump high enough. Additionally left/right jumping is very difficult to get accurately. I think a few small tweaks and you could really improve this in the future!

good job!

a pretty game but the jumping needs work. It is too time consuming right now to get your jumping right and finish the game. For jams you need something that makes you stick with your players in the least amount of time played.

The character movement is very unpleasant.

This game looks similar to Jump King but instead its more difficult and more sophisticated.

The long restart point is something really annoys me and for someone. This is what makes some player stop playing your game and the whole rest of your game left undiscovered.

The character movement is way too slow and the jump mechanics aren't really fully fleshed out. It seemed like the game required you to bounce off walls in awkward ways. I can definitely appreciate innovative approaches to platformer level design, but they need to feel consistent and reasonable to some degree. In this game, some of the challenges were just too punishing, like there being a very tiny valid jump location and anywhere around it causing you to plummet several levels down.

Is a bit weird. Might make more sense for the jump being the way it is if it was say some sort of rocket boots or some type of old coiled springs? I mean if there was a reason meant to only be able to jump that way or something. Is a bit slow and unforgiving when messed up. All in all its still a good start, can only get better from here.

The game play was slow. I'd recommend making the player seem lighter and more spiry.

The Jumping system need a redo, ut just feels bad, i would suggest learning from other platformers

Hi. Good game, the atmosphere is well put. However, the game is unforgiving for mistakes. A missed jump can put you back a long way.

Nice Game! I really like the art direction,  and the story is pretty interesting.  my main (and only) issue with the game is that the controls feel a little clunky.  a great game overall!

p.s

I would be very happy if you try my game too!
