Interesting concept. The game is successfull at creating an unsetteling atmosphere with simple means. Also I like glowing orbs. I got like two and a half minutes in eclipse

Very cool, I didn't expect it to be that stressful. The sound design is excellent!

That invasion effect was cool, even breaking of orbs is satisfying. I like this "set your strategy then watch" gameplay, like auto chess.

It is a really great concept and great execution. I liked the ranks or messages at the end of the level, I made it to 2:31 on Normal then to 1:59 on Eclipse.

I first started to play on a bit older PC but the games seemed to be struggling to run - one in-game second passed every 4 seconds - on a newer one it was running fine.

Was able to get to 3 minutes! Definitely fun game

I made it to 3 minutes. This is a really cool idea.

Simple yet atmospheric. 2:30 was my first run on the Normal mode :D. One improvement would be to write the max number of orbs (x/15) in the UI, though I easily found that out during a quick 2nd run :D Well done!

Thanks for the feedback! I’m not too satisfied with the UI yet, so I might indeed add a way to see the maximal number in the future.

Amazing atmosphere and visuals, neat little concept and execution

Being consumed by the  v o i d  has never been more relaxing, I love the ominous atmosphere

Submitted(+1)

Neat, ominous game! It to 2:55 before being crushed. So close to the 3 minute goal!

Amazing concept, I actually get scared when I’m on my last orbs :’( I could see this being expanded into a full tower-defense/horror type of game!!

Interesting concept! I would love to see more! I like the visuals too. Great work!

Thanks for your comment! I really appreciate it.

Seems a bit computationally expensive, but it is a nice concept indeed!

I could see this being expanded upon, with maybe different types of orbs, unlocked as time passes…

Thanks! Yeah, the lights require lots of performance. Also each void pixel has its own “scene” and that adds up since there are so many.

I might look into this after the game jam and there are also some things like a random mode or a score board that I might add.

As a strategy game it felt like it ended a little too quickly. And might be too abstract to really understand the consequences of your choices. I am really intrigued by the almost boiled down RTS direction it has going on though. My strategy started somewhat sound, in that I would place the initial orbs to hold a line of defense as far out as possible. But then it rapidly devolved into spam clicking just to try and get down orbs wherever I could, behind the ones breaking. Perhaps I did not take enough time to try and understand the systems better.

Certainly an interesting lil' experience. Has a good level of polish to it. Keep up the good work.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and your kind words!

Your strategy sounds really similar to what I usually did when I tested my game. I thought about the issue with spam clicking before but couldn’t really figure out what to do with it. On one hand, it somehow fits to the theme in a sense that your orbs keep crushing and you get panicked placing new ones. On the other hand, it doesn’t feel that good gameplaywise especially for a strategy game.

I have never seen something like this. Only complaint is that it doesnt run as fast and smooth as i woul d want.

I agree, the web version lacks a bit of performance. The versions for Windows and Linux work better.
