Not a bad little game. And the coins were fun to collect. Also it didn’t feel unfair.
Very impressed with how interconnected the level design got towards the end. I sort of expected this to just be a standard linear platformer, but the extra keys and doors and whatnot were really well-done. I ended up with a C rank, but I got the two extra keys and a handful of extra coins.
Some of the laser / buzzsaw cycles were pretty rough to time; lots of waiting around for things to time out, but in the end this was really fun. Great level design and inter-connected map design, nice job!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I definitely would have liked to spend more time tuning the timing for some of the obstacles, but otherwise I'm very happy with the level design. Thanks for playing!
Hey! I made a top ten video of the games from this jam. (Spoiler alert, this game is in it)
If you like the video, please feel free to share it :)
Check it out!
Hey! Thanks so much for the feature! It really made my day seeing my game in a youtube video! I will be sure to share it around!
Nice job!
Thank you!
good job.
Thank you!
Great game! The level design was really fun. I'm really bad at platformers, so I appreciated the frequent checkpoints. I ended up losing track of time while playing!
Accessibility with the checkpoints was a goal for this years game! I'm glad you had a good time! Thank you!
I loved the level design, the palette, the sprites and the gameplay, this is a really solid platformer game. Great job!
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Loved it. Difficulty was juuust right. Really great.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for playing!
Very nice platformer, great work! The gameplay is smooth and I also like the choice of the color palette.
I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for playing and for the kind words!
Interesting level design, smooth physics, soothing music. I enjoyed it quite a lot.
Little suggestion, there should be an explaination about press enter to start, got stuck a little at the start
Thanks for the suggestion and the feedback! I think you are right that the enter prompt is not clear enough. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for playing!
Wow! The level design is great and there are so many different elements and goals on a single screen. What a great game. Good job!
That's so awesome to hear! Thank you so much! Glad that you enjoyed it!
This was a blast, the level design is so good! Very fun music and sounds too.
That's so great to hear! Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you had fun!
I really liked this game. The art style and color palette make very good use of the resolution, and the sound design is solid. The platforming was also lots of fun with a good variety of challenges. My only real hiccup was how stingy and unforgiving some of the hitboxes felt, but as a precision platformer that's probably to be expected lol. Really great and fun game!
Thanks for the feedback! It was definitely challenging to get the hit boxes where i wanted them to be feel wise. Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed!
pleasant experience, well done. Liked how the dash made for so much variety. Jumping felt a littel floaty for me, but who am I to talk, I’ve never managed to implement convincing jump mechanics myself ;)
I know what you mean haha! I could have spent the whole two weeks just tuning character movement had I let myself. Thanks for your comment! Glad you enjoyed!
Nice game!
I like the different mechanics and obstacles, and the audio was cool as well (I especially liked the springboard jump sound haha)
Thanks for your comment! I also particularly enjoy the springboard sound!
Game doesn’t seem to load for me (I’m on Chrome MacOS)
Hmm thanks for letting me know! Sorry to hear that and I will look into it!
The game was a lot of fun, I especially like how you often need to go get a key or hit a lever, or have a path that branches off to get a coin, then go back to screens you were already at rather than it all just being totally linear.
Thank you for the comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed the non-linear aspect of the map! This was a goal in my design and its great to hear it worked out!
After so many platformers I already played in this game jam, I actually liked this one quite a lot.
One definitely sees that quite some thought went into this. The physics feel pretty good. The world in this game is very large but I never thought that I got lost. Apparently, there was always something I could try to proceed.
Twice, I had a situation where I was stuck between the ground and a moving platform. Fortunately, there’s the reset button to get out of this situation.
I like the color palette you used for the game and also the background music works quite well for this game.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the feedback! I actually added the reset for exactly that situation as I didn't quite have time to program the elevators to squish you haha. And its nice just in case something unexpected should occur. I'm glad to hear you didn't get lost as that was something I was wondering about. I tried to have the different routes loop back on each other quite often so that players could take the path of least resistance if they needed to
Really cool, I suck at platformers so I really liked the checkpoints and the fact that I could move forward without getting all the coin.
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
Hello! I mostly built this game as an iteration of last year's lowresjam entry. I tried to make things more forgiving while keeping them challenging. Additionally I hope that it is more visually appealing then my previous entry! Have fun!
