Short , but slightly confusing! It feels like there wasn't enough time to properly end the story, and I do wonder what would happen after! Great job with this one, just wish there was a bit more story here. It's ok so far.

Cute woof, I thought it was a mermaid from the cover lol. The writing is simple and nice. It's just that I'm not sure...  should we read the main entry of the series first?  I ended up with so many questions. The mystery part was there, but I felt like it was not emphasized enough? Instead, half of the story focused on MC fixating on the wolf in an almost unnatural way.

I'm curious what will the story tell us if given more context to everything.

There's some good stuff here, but it feels muddled.

First off, the custom assets. Those were really nice. Especially the wolf. That's a unique art style that I've never seen before, and it helps highlight his emotions. Also the writing itself is decent.

That said, I found the plot hard to sink my teeth into. The internal monologue didn't grab me as much as I would have liked, and once things started to get going I started scratching my head. Maybe I missed something? Or maybe the context is explained by your other fvn?

There's a good idea in the heart of this project, but I feel like you haven't done all you could with it. The structure of the story makes it difficult to understand and it's too short to develop the themes and the relations between these character.

Still, it has potential and I'm glad to have read it !

Kind of difficult to get into. The writing lacks polish; the tense is inconsistent, and there's some room for tightening, with many simple actions being described quite thoroughly. What feels like the main event โ€“ the two characters interacting โ€“ is brief in comparison, and it's hard to get a sense of either as a character or their relationship. Visually, many of the photo backgrounds used are noticeably low-quality, and the extremely simplistic art style clashes with them.

The structure feels a bit disjointed โ€“ there's the mystery of what the protagonist experienced last night, then a flashback showing the truth basically unprompted, and no real conclusion that would connect the two parts. I honestly also just cannot make any sense of the explanation or what it's supposed to imply?

Being a part of some kind of larger project, the game feels basically impenetrable without further context. I wasn't really able to enjoy as a standalone thing. (No idea how the game jam's theme is supposed to factor in, either.)

The presentation is cute, and the writing itself is really well done! My only problem is, as others have pointed out, how confusing it is. We as readers have no idea what the 'Hour' is, what the monster is, why it's a threat or a bad thing, etc. It is a side story VN, so that may be it, but it's not very memorable as a stand alone story. There's really nothing to root for, nothing to look forward to other than the promise of the wolf guy. and the interaction is cut pretty short. Still. it's a cute entry, good job regardless and good luck on the Jam and all your other projects  โ™ก

Very cute wolf! Charming sprite work, although it would have been nice to see a bit more of him. Having not read the series that this is a side story of, I don't feel like it really stands on its own. By the time we're introduced to the titular hour the story is basically over and it concludes without explaining enough to work as a stand-alone experience. The music and sound effects are good and effective where they're used, but the fact that there's only music in a handful of places makes its appearance almost as jarring as it is atmospheric.

I appreciate that you took the time to make your own artwork!  I like the big, expressive eyes on the sprite. 

I did have a bit of trouble figuring out what was happening, but that is likely due to this being a part of an existing series.  It makes it a bit harder to work as a standalone story.  It's a difficult tightrope to walk to have enough exposition for the story to work on its own without completely rehashing or spoiling the existing stories ( I did the same for my first May Wolf Jam entry, and had the same issue, so you're in good company here).

I didn't actually notice the 'A Reverse 3 Story' on the title page until I went to review this, partially due to my not-so-great eyesight.  Small reverse text on faded out light teal is a bit hard to see.  Maybe a dark teal outline or shadow around it would make it stand out a bit better?  The entire time reading it, I felt I was missing something important, but wasn't sure what.  Now it makes a bit more sense.

Theme: I wasn't seeing it, unless it was like, the hour being a 25th hour in the day?

Story: I think you started with the wrong part. I think you would have been better served with leading up to the hour if it was at the party instead of the flashback, or instead lead with the hour. The morning after was a lot of pining for the poorly remembered wolf and going "what happened?"

The hour was reminiscent of some manga I've seen before, and in those first chapters, you want to dive into the action asap given that's what the narrative circles around.

Presentation: Green wolf cute! Needed more on screen. Little bappy friend. I appreciated the blue filter for the hour.

Too many of the backgrounds weren't full screen, and no music mostly throughout. I would have appreciated some more music, even if creative commons. We expect audio, even if it's just kinda there, as this is a multi-media experience with expectations built upon it.

If you did NVL mode, I wouldn't have been as upset with the only-background for most of the work.

Creativity: I wanted to be more invested in the hour, but we didn't get enough of it to understand what it was. If that was explored more, and what the monster meant and why...

Overall Thoughts: This might be partially due to this being within your Reverse series, but then my complaint is that this doesn't have the legs to stand on it own. The narrative is tied to your other work, I presume, and in that regard, this can't be read solo as it stands.

It may have been more conducive to either give more from your original work, or to carve out another item to expand further upon in the work, rather than this sort of confusion narrative that doesn't sufficiently get resolved.
