Really enjoyed this take on the Tower Defense game ๐Ÿฆ‚

Its like a special abilities you would normally get but without the towers. Thinking where to place things and how to best manage your health between levels was fun to do. If i screwed up a level it made me want to go back and do it better to make a harder level easier.

Great Job ๐Ÿ˜€

Definetly a cool concept, I felt like it lacked a lot of the "strategy" aspect, waiting for them to get close then dropping a sandstorm seemed to get me through every level no problem but definetly could turn into a fun game if expanded on it! Maybe giving the player more agency over his resources or something?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

That's definitely something I felt as well, but sadly ran out of time to increase the complexity and player agency. I had planned to have two additional enemy types: one faster and one a lot beefier and stronger. Then I was also going to add a new small area spell for heavy damage.

So you would have more strategy with using scorpions to stall, sandstorm for groups and entomb (the new spell) for tough / close groups.

Thanks once again!

Nice take on the prerequisite, plus overall just a really fun game jam game. Scaling of the window seems a bit messed up in the export, the instructional message wasn't in the right place and there's a big gap of empty dune area, but i think that's something maybe the window stretch mode setting would fix? Nice submission!!

Thank you so much!
You are absolutely right, I had a few issues trying to make the game adjust to the screen size, which is why I ended up setting a fixed viewport to the game. I did not consider the possibility some would download it ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks for the feedback once again!

No problem! And just FYI I was playing in the browser, here is what it looks like for me, not sure if others saw the same. (Macbook using google chrome)

Oh damn! Thanks for the heads up!

I'm not sure why that would happen, but I'll look into it!

I followed your suggestion and it fixed the issue! ๐Ÿ’–

Thank you for the AMAZING feedback!! ๐Ÿฅ‡ I've uploaded a new version, if you want to give it another shot

That last level is pretty tough. Does your health carry over between levels?

Developer

Yep, health carries over! I tried to play with the idea that your health is also scarce in a way. There was a tutorial message in the second level highlighting that, but maybe it should have been more pronounced.
Thank you for playing!
