Fun stuff!!

It's a very well made take on Pong. The environment and ambience is super nice in my opinion, from the camera moving from one side to the other, to the music itself, and having the ability to customize assets within the game is a cool touch. Like others mentioned, maybe other types of power-ups would've been very welcomed as the current ones don't seem to change a lot on how the gameplay goes. Nonetheless, pretty good stuff!

Developer

thank you for the kind comment, in future I'll definitely being paying more attention to powerups

As a pong game it's pretty well done, but like Egg Head, I don't know if I'd call it "Ultra".

I think it would have been cool to see a wider variety of powerups, maybe add another paddle, or another ball, or a ball that sticks to the paddle and can be fired at will. There are a lot of options and this is a great base to work from.

It's Pong but better. I love that you can customize the colors. I wasn't sure about the camera movement at first, but it's been a great experience. Although it's a bit challenging (the AI hardly ever fails). It's still quite fun. A really complete game.

I agree with Radu. It was difficult for me to understand right away what the power-ups actually were, but enjoyable. Nice job.

I played some of the 2 player mode with my s/o and it's quite fun, the physics are well polished. I think it would be more fun if the powerups had a bigger impact on the gameplay, we barely really noticed their effect while playing. Nonetheless a good entry

Cool implementation of pong with a lot of bells and whistles, room to grow. Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission

Thank you for all the feedback in the stream! goodluck with the rest of the Jam!

It's a good revisiting of a classic gameplay. I surprised myself by playing way more that I would have played the classic Pong. The juiciness is really good, I do like the camera movements. The bonuses are interesting and really add to the gameplay. One thing that could be a bit better though is when one player just has scored and the ball is put back at the center. I would keep it immobile for 1 or 2 seconds before starting the round. I lost a couple of point because of this. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Ahh fair enough, I made it so if the bot scores the bot then has to play the first serve, with the reason being so the person who lost a point can reposition, however if I revisited this would definitely be a feature I add. Thank you for the constructive comment, appreciate it!

I enjoyed playing it but I have to admit that the camera movement makes me nervous.

Wow! Amazing game, didn't expect there to be so much customization, great work!

The power ups are a fresh take on  the old retro game. Very well implemented.
Would be cool to  highlight the 10 second limitation in some way.
Like some kind of timer or other visual indicator. Just a suggestion though.

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting.
Powerup visual aid would be really cool I think if I was to revisit this I would make a bar on left & right for both the powerups.

Good pong implementation ! I like the fact that you can customize the colors.
There is a lot in common with our game in the use of the 10s and also the pong inspiration !

I like it so far

Thank you for the supportive comment, good luck with your game mate!

Genuinely a really fun game, I love the animations and the feeling of the ball genuinely being hit as the screen shake.    really  clean and well presented and you should be really proud of your work :)

Good implementation of the pong game, cool atmosphere and sound effects!

It was a bit uncomfortable due to the camera movement, maybe it would have been better to just zoom out a bit?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment, yeah the camera movement has been highlighted a few times, think if I was to revisit this I should've made a setting for no camera movement.

Loved the graphics and the attention to detail (small screenshakes, customization options, ...)
The ball takes quite long to traverse the field so getting the powerups within the 10 seconds is pretty hard sometimes.

Developer

thank you for the feedback, the ball does eventually get quicker and with two power ups are added, but I do understand in the start it can seem very difficult to hit one ❤️

A fun take on classic pong, but the camera movement is very jarring

Submitted

i can't understand why you will make the camera follow the ball ? overall nice pong game

Developer

Thank you for playing my game, Im not sure either to delete the camera script all together or maybe make it a little less strong on the ball, but yeah this was used just to make more of a twist on normal pong.

10 second twist on pong.
