Hello, the team behind Pluto's Revolution finalized an update to fix most of the issues that were addressed here:
- The Performance issues are now solved, meaning that the Arcade mode should fully function without lagging or the music cutting out
- The Asteroids no longer have the annoying jittering effect
- Level 2 difficulty has been toned down, with some obstacles removed and the size and attraction force of the rockets decreased
- Styx (the smallest moon)'s Speed has been decreased (from 11 to 10) and Deceleration increased (from 3 to 4) making it easier to control and less slippery.
- Fixed a bug where surviving 10 seconds as Charon in Arcade mode made you indestructible
Thank you to everyone who rated our game and give us some very nice feedback so we could improve the game even further. See you all at the Results announcement. If you wanna get a go at the Arcade now that it's fixed, here's the high score to beat:
Good to see updates being rolled out already, well done to your entire team!
it actually should've come out a bit sooner aha, we've just been busy/exhausted. thanks nonetheless
Nice game! Seriously fun! Well done :)

This was such a fun game! the pacing and story was great and I thought the difficulty was just enough to make it challenging, but not impossible! very nice job!
thanks a lot!
Ben fatto, utilissimo lo screen iniziale con i controlli e il tutorial. Bel concept
Grazie! Molto contento che ti sia piaciuto
Its just a thought but i think u were quiet pissed when Pluto was kicked out of being a planet. Overall cool game
just a little. Thanks for the feedback!
YES! Finally someone else who put effort into story as wellI liked that game has little story behind it - it makes concept a little bit better. Great use of limitation. Art is also good, however the game is soooo laggy for some reason. If game didn't have a jittering movement it would be in a top-5 or top-10 for sure.
Overall - nice job!
thank you! we put a lot of time in conceptualizing before beginning development. Maybe that's also why we ended up not having time to fix some of the performance issues that ended up occurring, they only really happen in the browser version and it was around 3am my time (couple hours before the deadline) when we ended up making the final build. Sorry for the inconvenience but I'm glad you enjoyed the game
level 2 on story was like and here you thought you were good eat some missiles to the face. Level 3 I was pretty hard as well kept getting stuck between the shield walls and rocks and blowing up. The rocks seems to be bit a little bugged out on their spinning some times.
Arcade mode was pretty fun enjoyed that great job adding that in
Yeah with how short the levels were we didn't want them to be too easy. thanks for the feedback!
We really liked the art, story, and ambientation. Fantastic concept! However, the difficulty was way too high for us. We felt the arcade mode had a more balanced difficulty. Nonetheless, this was a very good job!
The Badcats /ᐠ。‸。ᐟ\
thank you!
The difficulty is tuned to a deterministic level, so I thought that the arcade was actually more fun, just need to work out those performance issues.

I am honestly amazed how well polished this is. Great implementation of the theme, too. Since I'm already quite tired today, the levels were pretty challenging, but I made it through the story. Well done! Seems this was pretty perfectly scoped for your skillsets - not easy!
thanks a lot! Yeah we're quite happy with how much we were able to do in the little time we had. We're glad you enjoyed it
Cool game! I really liked the visuals, the parallax effect overall. The music was great but kinda annoying after some time. Interesting concept and use of the limitation, and I liked the good ending for pluto :)
thanks a lot for the kind comment! We were gonna implement multiple soundtracks but ended up running out of time
the story mode is great and really hard(in a good way), the story itself is nice(reminds me of Deep Rock Galactic) and artstyle is astonishing! The "stop-laser" thing you guys took from andertale, didn't you?
thanks! and yeah it was one of my very first thoughts, it just fits really well with the gameplay
Hey team, beautiful and clever side-scroller, a real try-hard! Well done!
thanks!
The whole game has a lot of quality to have been developed in only 2 days, is very impressing. Great work!
thanks a ton! we barely took any breaks aha
Wow, one of my favorites, I didn't expect a story mode in a game jam game. But it was presented with a lot of polish. Music and graphics fit perfect, interesting challenges especially the beam that you have to stop moving. The difficulty really jumps from level 1 to 2 lol. The only small nitpick, was for me, the asteroids moved a little jagged
yeah those are some of the things we heard the most, real sorry about that. Other than that I'm glad you liked it so much
Whew, this one is really tough to get through the obstacles. Good for people who like memorizing a perfect pattern. Nice music too.
thanks for the feedback!
Nice simple yet challenging gameplay. Loved the intro in this game!
thanks a lot!
simple and fun gameplay, a bit difficult, but the art is really well done.
thank you!
First off, love the art and general presentation, along with the music. They combine into a great atmosphere.
The game is obviously intended to be high intensity and difficult, given the short levels, but it meant I couldn't get past the second story one. It felt like the controls were sort of sluggish (or maybe it's the carried momentum that was throwing me off?), and sometimes it felt like I was moving at different speeds with the same button presses. I imagine you intentionally made the controls not super tight and sharp, but it it could perhaps for some people make it a bit frustrating.
But anyway, a great entry regardless.
thanks a lot for the thoughtful feedback! I think our biggest shortcoming in this jam by far was that we should've put more attention in the controls and the level design. I think the actual difficulty is kinda tough but fair, the fun kind of difficulty where you have to master the movement, but the thing we failed on was the difficulty curve. Level 2 somehow ended up being one of the hardest levels, which isn't something we planned for. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you liked the game
This is gonna be a contender for a podium, really really clean graphics, two modes, story was well written, and I love the different stages in the story that come with different obstacles, arcade mode is fun and very chaotic (love it), also appreciated the small details like master volume and credits page, Only have two improvements, the movement doesn't match up when the player is moving in the middle of the screen and the side of the screen. Also its alot more difficult in the middle region then on the sides, other then that you guys have made a beautiful submission.
thank you for the amazing feedback! We've been hard at work and wanted the game to feel as complete as possible, albeit that may have compromised a few minor details. We definitely could've spent more time fine-tuning the movement and the levels themselves. Nonetheless thank you for the nice comment!
