The art is very professional looking! I thought the mice were rocks too (maybe add squeaking sounds?) The controls felt very good. I wish there was some kind of restart screen because I fell into the pit under the falling platforms and ended up having to reload the game. I do want more levels, but this is great start! Nice work!

that's a really cute game, I love cats! if there is one overpowered animal, it's definitely a cat

I didn't quite get what ultra instinct does at first, but i see now that it slows down time, which is pretty cool. Also I fell off falling platforms a couple of times, but didn't get a retry screen, so had to reload the page to play again (but I am guessing it's missing due to time constraints)

I thought those mice were rocks at first and was wondering when I saw the ending result where are those two mice that I missed =D Concept is neat and the time slow mechanic is quite cool. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Did the game broke and the rats didn't move or did you genuinely thought they are rocks despite the fact that they moved?

Submitted(+1)

I genuinely thought they were rocks when I was just moving and jumping quickly and didn't notice that they were slightly moving lol.

That is well made controller and prototype feels good. Good luck!

This is a nice base for a game, and I'd play more levels when you make them.

Good game! I realy liked the slow-motion and the dash mechanics. I can't wait to play a more complete version of the game!

I like the wordless approach that you took when explaining the controls. The game feels like it would be extremely peaceful to play.

It felt too short to fully appreciate the "Ultra Instinct" aspect, so it will be interesting to see how this would be used in a longer version of the game. Though the current version does give a good idea on what it would be used for (hunting and platforming).

A short demo of a cat demonstrating heightened reflexes and agility.

Looks lovely! And I'm a big fan of how you learn the controls while playing - something I wanted to add to my game too. (FYI I fell at the beginning and got stuck off camera)

Developer(+1)

I actually forgot to add the respawn mechanic, sorry about that😅

I LOVE THE CAT SPRITE. It is so simple but the animation makes it so smooth and agile. Really good proof of concept. Makes me think of Meat Boy. I would def play a full game like this!

Very cute

the ultra instinct effect is super cool, great fx.
i think it should slow down time more to make it more clear that thats what it does.
cute art, loved the palette espcially for the background.
id like to see where you take this, nice work!

Thanks for the comment! I did considered adding falling leaves to emphasize the time slow effect, but later dropped it due to time constraint.

Very cute style, its a bit of a basic platformer. But you did implement the cat instinct what was a creative mechanic.

I really like the style, the animations were wicked pleasant, this is really impressive!

The cat sprite is awesome, and the instant ability is pretty fun to use and look at. Nice job!

The ultra instinct button is really cool, I like that it slows down time, the concept of that is really cool and I think more you can really expand on this mechanic. The cat is really cute too! The controls to me are little weird however, the usability between the arrow keys, space and the Z and X keyboards are quite awkward.I would prefer if I could play the game with one hand on my keyboard given the current key binds. Cool game! 🐈‍⬛

Thank you for the comment!

I have considered binding the Toggle to Left shift, but the game had already binded it to Jump for some reason.

I'm not sure about the suggestion about remapping the controls to one hand, does this mean the player would need to press the right ctrl and numpad 0? And what about keyboards that don't have numpad 0 in the first place?

Np! About the controls, have you considered using the WASD keys, or was it an limitation of the game? Just a suggestion here, perhaps I didn't get used it while playing. But these are just small nitpicks. haha doesn't take away from the cute game tho!
