I have mixed feelings about the game
On the one hand, I really liked how it feels – the graphics, the coherence, the atmosphere. The small storyline and the funny NPC dialogues. The music is also very cozy and fits well
But on the other hand, I didn’t quite understand what I was supposed to do. It seemed to me that the idea was to figure out the mimic either through NPC hints or by spotting some unique differences. A cool concept, it reminded me of https://ash2.itch.io/knock-harder
But it looks like, for now, the monster is just one specific object, and that’s it – it doesn’t stand out from the others, is always the same, and I didn’t notice any NPC dialogues pointing to it
But the idea and what’s already done are really cool!
Nice game, I liked reading all of the dialogue snippets. I feel like there were several clues to finding the monster, but I ended up getting lucky and spotting the animation! Good work!
3rd try! Love the little monster, cute sprite <3
Other than that, after the menu if you spam the space bar to go faster while the text is dissapearing it just goes back to the max alpha and doesn't go away.
Good job!
I like the characters and the dialogue! But like most people here I also had a little difficulty in finding the monster ^^'
I don't really get it...
I won by I just started to try every object until I found it.
Do the dialogs matter? It feels like they are trying to give you a hint. But I didn't understand them.
I dialogs matter - then this is a good concept but should be a way to make it more obvious. Or at least start with an easy tutorial or something.
And if dialogs don't matter - then I am not sure how the monster should be found.
nice game, but trying was very tedious
This game was pretty hard to understand at first. I think the concept is cool, but it should be easier to tell what the mosnter is. I still think this is a nice submission though.
Fun NPC's dialogues. It took me more than 10 tries to find the monster. Good job!
The character's dialogs were pretty funny and honestly not sure but the monster was really easy to find for myself. More levels would be pretty cool too as if you were hunting for the monsters at parties lol. Overall good job!
I can't figure this game out. I can't find a single monster, though the NPCs keep saying something about a tongue? Losing happens too suddenly too, the first time it happened I didn't even know why. The time limit isn't very obvious either, as I only noticed it after losing from running out of time, though I'm not even sure why there's a time limit if you lose if you guess wrong anyways. If guessing wrong lowered your time it would make sense, but not right now, especially with how hard it is to even find the monster. The main menu also doesn't do anything, I'm not sure if it's just not set up yet or if that's a bug.
There’s no way to tell what the monster is. I could as well just press E on the crate below the spawn point until it happens to be the monster. Visually it’s quite good, I appreciate a small backstory too. The music is also not bad, nice work
I beat the game, it's fun to see the characters' messages, but there's no distinguishing of a monster to a normal object.
I like art( but don't understand what to do i have got only game over.
Hi! In our game we have to find the monster among the objects. So if there is no monster in an item, the game is over. Hmmm, perhaps this should be added to the description (ᵕ-ᴗ-).
Yeah that i understand but i miss the point where is the difference between a monster in an item and an empty item.
Sometimes the monster has a unique animation, as well as hints can be given by NPC)
Ohhh i didn't notice
I won first try! :D ..I like the concept. But I need more level! :D
HOW ???
