There's a real game in here somewhere, but unfortunately this game had a lot of frustrating elements. It was extremely difficult - the fire pillars appearing were impossible to predict, making it necessary to memorize where the fire would be. However, waiting before the fire to prevent yourself from getting killed meant the lava would immediately catch up to you, and you would die if you slowed down at all. Jump inputs are lost when you clip corners or walls, making it feel like my deaths were because of wonky controls rather than a mistake I made. As well, checkpoints would have been extremely helpful - I made it quite far, but there was one jump I could never make, but I could only attempt it after making it through the entire level again, which made it hard since there was an enormous amount of pressure every time.

I loved the look and I think this game could be really fun, but it needs some tweaks to make it truly shine. Good effort - I'd love to see another game like this.

Cool concept, it didn't "feel" nice to play something was kind of jarring. The lives didn't feel meaningful either. Quick re-spawns could have helped.

Cool game and the music makes it really intensive, but the art doesn't blend really well together and the "Oven over" feels just waste of time.

Very difficult! I feel like there should be a checkpoint system. Maybe there is, but I haven't managed to reach any. Got to the second cupcake. Anyway, it's a decent try to make platformer in such limited conditions. Not bad!

I like the concept of the game and it looks pretty good, but it feels a bit unfair and the game over mechanic seems unnecessary. I think it's safe to say you took some inspiration from Super Meat Boy. The thing that makes SMB work for me is the quick respawn, satisfying death effect, and how fair it is. Yeah, it's unforgivingly hard, but the movement is super crisp and the hitboxes are super clear and a tiny bit forgiving. I think with a few tweaks to those aspects and a few easier levels to ramp up to the difficulty you have now, this could be a really fun game.

Had a hell of a time at the start! I really liked the concept and setting. Trying to outrun the heat, in an oven, is an idea I haven't seen yet. But I agree with others - the difficulty should be scaled back a little for the beginning! Keep it up!

Pretty good concept! The game is a bit too hard though and the mechanics should probably be explained in the game itself rather than on the itch.io page.

When you lose a life you go back and the lava resets but the things its killed don't come back. Not sure if that was intentional but it feels weird when playing.

You're a loose cannon, miazelement, but you're a damn good cop!
