I think this was a really clever - albeit maybe a tad unfaithful ;) - implementation of the limitation! I think this has a lot of potential as a puzzle game, tho I admit I sort of brute-forced most of the puzzles. The addition of the swap tiles felt like it opened up a lot of opportunities. Great work!

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!

I don't blame you for the brute-force, especially in a jam where you're trying to play as many games as possible! I'm glad you had a good time, I've got a few ideas of things to add similar to the swap tile, so I'm hoping to have a full game eventually!

Cheers :D

Cute puzzle, It could be worth while to look into UI scaling or screen scaling in general the text was pretty difficult to read.
I liked the green swirly part that changed up the puzzle a little it helped keep your loaf puzzle fresh.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I've always struggled with UI... Out of interest, did you fullscreen the game?

I'm glad you enjoyed, though :D

I did, it still looked quick blurred. If the tool your using to make the game has pixel rounding I would disable that and set sampling to nearest edge or something along those lines.

Developer

I see, thanks for the tip!

I was a little confused at first, but I understood the goal eventually. Good idea, I think this concept for a puzzle game would be interesting if expanded more. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Ah, did you miss the tutorial in the description? I unfortunately ran out of time to implement one into the game. Thanks for playing, I'm glad you figured it out in the end! :D

Super Cool Game. Loved the Game.

The Music was on point were the visuals, the sprite of the baker after finishing a level is simply the best.

Really liked the puzzles. Greed is the last one right? Or did I missed any?

Keep up the Awesome work and maybe ease up on the cookies ;)

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed :)

Greed is the last level, yeah! (didn't get time for an end screen unfortunately)

I'll try ;)

I wanted more levels D:

That's great to hear! (sorry there aren't more though) I'm actually planning on developing this into a full game :)

Thats incredible!

Good Luck with it. I’ll gladly wait until it comes out so I can get more levels and COOKIES!! Wait, cookies? Yes…

Cool puzzle game! Looks cute and the levels are easy but still satisfying. Would have enjoyed a different kind of tutorial and soundtrack, but overall very good. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!! I really wanted to fit a tutorial in but unfortunately ran out of time :(

The same goes for the music, I only had time to make one short track. Thank you for the feedback, though! :D

Pretty fun game! Your use of the two buttons limitation is really interesting and works really well into the game to make some nice puzzles.

The music tends to be a bit too repetitive, you could probably throw on another track that starts being played after some puzzles are completed.
The game mechanics should probably be explained in the game itself as not everyone reads the itch.io page.
The text has a bit of anti-aliasing which destroys a bit of the pixel aesthetic.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the puzzles :)

Yeah, unfortunately I only had 48 hours when I started, and a lot of that time was spent programming (not the fastest worker).

Totally agree I should've added a tutorial, but unfortunately that was a sacrifice I chose to make in order to make more levels.

The text thing I'm not sure how to fix, but thanks for the note!

Thanks again for playing! :D

Cool game. The puzzles are easy but I know it's hard to make a puzzle game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, if I'd had more time I'd have loved to implement other ideas, but alas!

Don't forget to rate!

Glad you enjoyed :)

Really fun puzzles, even though some of them are kinda easy.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Yeah, the game is quite easy, unfortunately, I didn't have time to figure out some difficult levels. But that's what the future is for!

Glad you enjoyed :)

Very cute puzzle game! I loved the art, maybe I would just change the ground to add some contrast with the white of the cook but otherwise it’s beautiful.

Thank you so much!!
