Lovely game! I had to get used to the controls at first, but I really enjoyed it. Using the coin sprite as a wheel is creative.
What's even more creative is the skeleton spawn animation. That's great stuff.
The fact that the wheel always rolls clockwise, even if you're moving left, feels a little strange. But honestly, given the whole momentum thing, I'm not sure if it'd look better if it didn't.
And regardless, that's nitpicking in what's definitely a big game for such a small development timeframe. It's impressive! I'd honestly love to see a full game like this!
I was a bit confused on the controls and goal of the game, but reading a bit more on your game page helped clarify some things! The sound effects are a tad harsh on the ears, but they fit the feel of the game. Maybe just adjust the audio a tad! The rolling mechanics were fun, and once I discovered you can shoot what you have collected, it added a lot more to the game. Man when that big guy snipes you with a bomb and it sticks to you....Orz. It was entertaining and unique! Good work! :D
Very well made game, loved the mechanic and the animations/effects, feels polished. I think the progression is slow though. I woud add a faster way to drop things, and also, I didn't understand how the health works, I was out of health and didn't die. For the rest, good job!
The healthbar only had 3 frames but I wanted the player to not stress as hard if bombarded. So you always have a couple of grace frames. Full health up to half health is frame 1, half health to 4 hits left is frame 2 the rest is 3 :)
so this is like katamari but you shoot things that you roll over , the idea is certainly unique and very engaging.
But man... that sound design is aggressive , I had to turn it down a lot so my ears didn't start bleeding , but aside from that very well done
I loved this. A lot to unpack here.
In the vein of Katamari Damacy , a game I love, this game literally puts a new spin on that formula. Being smart with your movements and using the ball you’re rolling is the key to this game and once you get a feel for it you can get quite a rush.
Definitely a surprise for me that someone would make a game this style, whats not a surprise is how much I loved it

I like the main mechanic quite a lot but didn't really like how bogged down you get when you pick things up. a bit more direction on what I needed to do would be helpful as well. overall definitely worth checking out for those who haven't.
A lot of people didn't seem to realize you could shoot your items at enemies, if you didn't fight back you didn't stand a chance! Consider retrying! :)
love this. Big fan of katamari. This game checks all the boxes and puts it into a retro realm. Please play this if you can!
This game was definitely an adventure. I had fun learning the map and completing objectives/quests. The movement was hard at first, same with fighting enemies, but I was able to learn it and have fun with it. I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be doing at first, but after I explored a bit more it became clear to me. I really enjoyed the combat mechanics, and the bosses felt like a good challenge. Unfortunately I can't comment on the music or sounds since they're buggy on linux. Overall, I think you did a great job.
I'm a big fan of Katamari Damacy. The overall concept of the game is really great. I loved how you took the idea of Katamari and added a twist to it.
My biggest feedback would be to not slow the player down for pick things up. Right now it feels very punishing to pick things up. Maybe speed the player up instead so it feel more fun and rewarding to pick things up :)

A major mechanic of the game is knowing when to shoot away your items at enemies, and when to collect! :)
The movement is so fun. Most of the time I was just drifting around trying to avoid monsters. I love how interactive the whole environment is and the game looks and feels pretty polished.
I would just reduce the turning speed a little so it's easier to aim.
I was actually looking for a racing game in the jam and this is the closest thing I've found so far :D

You can actually SHOOT those monsters away, adds a whole new level of play to any kind of 'racing' sim you were looking for haha. Don't avoid, seek and destroy!

Very nice game, I really like the innovative idea the movement feels a little weird tough especially in the beginning when you're not used to it and I got stuck to random stuff way to much. Besides that tough really interesting and well made game.
Controlling the player was kind of hard, but in the end I was able to get the hang of it. There is definitely some creative use of assets in this game, e.g. the player's barrel. Good job!
overall this game has a very interesting premise, i liked how the player could only move around a "ball" (not really sure what to call it) and that was fun! the only thing i didnt quite like was how the player pretty much slows down to a slow crawl whenever he accidentally picks up an item. music and sound effects were quite nice! i enjoyed them quite a bit.
overall 4/5! :D
The turn speed was too much to be able to conistently move where I wanted without load and then when I had something it felt like I couldn't avoid the enemies.
Overall a really great game with a few minor detractions.
Don't avoid! Seek and destroy! Shoot with the S key!
