Very cool concept, i agree with others that it would be better with a ranking or leaderboard. Also, i think it didnt adjust for different aspect ratios, since i could see unity gray background and objects loading in. this scale issue also made it tough to tell which guys along the ground would do what. However, still a good time, and a fun quick game!
It's actually a Godot project and Itch is a little weird sometimes with Godot. The game is supposed to stay inside the window on the page at a fixed resolution. If the game pops out to a different window or changes size that's Itch being weird and it causes the bug you're describing with the gray background.
Its funny, at first I didnt know what would happen then understood the second time. Would have been so much more enjoyable with a Ranking / Leaderboard option.
This game made me laugh so much. Gave me flashbacks of spending hours playing the home run contest in Super Smash Bros.
NANACA CRASH is an all-time classic browser game, fun to see someone recreating it and glad to see you credited it directly! There's some obvious QoL things that would help the game (being able to see who's coming up and a few less stop sign boys) but the physics are fun and the way the music kicks off and cuts off harshly actually add a lot to the comedy. Nice music choice, too.
I really had to laugh out load when i shot and the animations + music started playing :D

Really captures that old skool flash game vibe well. I'm not sure if it was just me but the game screen/background seemed to render as Connor was flying through the air. It didn't change the game in anyway it was just a bit jarring. Overall fun and nostalgic vibes all around.
Unfortunately there's an issue with certain browsers that causes the game to pop out into a window and break the size the game was designed to render at, which causes the pop-in of the background that you're describing.
Classic formula with some really fun renditions of Connor and friends! I only made it to 180... skill issue
