Hi everyone, Cole the audio guy here -- I finally got the chance to add *some* of the audio! There's still more to come (more music, more interactive SFX etc.) as I have the chance to coordinate with Dan, our fabulous programmer and card game maestro, but that's still to come in a future update.
There will be a card game, and it will be fun :D
For now, I hope you enjoy the update.
I really like the game! The art assets were all very cute, and the black text screens were hilarious.
I cant wait to see the game in its final version! Justice for Dan and his cards! :D
Thank you for playing! We should have a new build out soon for all to see Dan's hard work (:
Love the visuals ! You made a really great job ! Such a shame you couldn't add sounds and the card game :( Also, some of the trigger to talk to the characters were a little tricky.
But it really has potential and the dialogue are well written ! Great job !
Thank you for the feedback! I hope you're able to see the post-jam version which will include the amazing work of our sound designer and the card game portion (:
Pros
Cons
Overall: amazing work! Fantastic visuals and art style! This game has a lot of potential, I hope you continue working on it after the jam ends!
I know! Our sound designer did some fantastic work, the post-jam build will definitely include his superb effort.
Amazing! Cant' wait to play the post-jam version!
So sad you didn't have enough time to finish the game, it looks like it has a ton of potential. Apart from the not implemented card game, the triggers to talk to some characters were hard to hit and I didn't get sound, maybe it was a bug or maybe you didn't have time to put that in! The low poly art looks great and gives it a ton of personality. I hope you keep working on making this a more complete game!
Thank you! We will definitely be taking usability concerns into consideration for our post-jam build
Looking forward to it :)
The concept is 10/10 would love to see this is as a full game! The controls of walking around feel nice too and the camera angle feels perfect! The art is great! I love the portrait art it reminds me "Cells at Work" a little bit and the 2D/3D art mix is something that gets me everytime.
The dialogue is funny and has that nice slice of life anime feel to it; would love to see more of it.
The card game imagined was pretty fun; but I'm sure the real card game will be more fun! Honestly I enjoyed the funny inserts between scenes as much as I probably would've the actual gameplay. It was well done and I think definitely better than just empty slates. Plus probably a lot easier to know what needs to go there later on if you guys work on it more.
You guys have a seriously cool proof of concept though and I hope to see more from it!
You're too kind \( ̄︶ ̄*\))
I like the concept and the graphical style. Would have loved to see the card game but hey, that's how jams go sometimes! Great work on what you did get finished!
Thank you!
Hahahaha, this is amazing! I love the art style of walking around the pizza parlor, but maybe next time, start with the main game part so you have time to finish? (Unless the story was really about how little gameplay matters in a story, if it can be just replaced by title cards saying 'here's a game'...)
Regardless, I enjoyed this immensely. Laughed the whole time!
You're absolutely right, I was the more experienced jammer and I should have pushed for a more cohesive whole during development. I hope you're able to give feedback on the post-jam build as well (:
It looks like a lot of fun, and I hope the full(er) version comes out soon!
Really liked this game. The 2d sprite characters in the 3d world had an awesome look. The admissions between scenes were a feature were dropped were very relatable and funny. I found it pretty difficult to trigger the starts of dialogues but the story was good.
Thank you for playing!
