Does your game contain AI-generated content?
As far as I know, it doesn't. I've used couple songs and sound effects from pixabay.com so I cant be 100% sure of their origin.

How does your game fit/incorporate the theme of the game jam?
The whole game is a story that evil neuro tells to neuro. All events are in the past.

The style of the game is simple yet looks awesome. I'd like to see more of it. Especially liked how levels look, they have scale and a nice vibe.

I love movement in your game, also black and white aesthetic goes hard!

Developer

Thx, I've picked this aesthetic because it's cool, but most importantly: It's very easy to draw lol

true xD

itch.io stoped working when I last tried to submit this comment so here goes:
I really liked the boss fight entrance, the falling down onto 50~ windows was fun
I liked the art style, overall the game was very fun :)

Developer

Thx for playing!

After I've added windows, I've noticed how satysfying they are to break, so I spammed them a bit on the final level.

backSLASH backSLASH backSLASH slash it ALL

Developer(+1)

Yeah, slashing things is nice, especially with a COOL katana

this was amazing! the movement is fun and responsive, the story is interesting and somewhat incorporates the theme (its more of just "the past" i dont really see the remnants part) it was even good enough to get me to spend a few extra minutes trying to get a good speedrun

i only found one bug while playing, and it was that after dying i could still pause the game while the screen was fading to black and quit to the menu. this would cause the game to crash

Developer

You're the first one to find that bug, thx for info. I know that it doesn't fit the theme super well. I just wanted to make a cool game where evil does cool things. I'm very happy you enjoyed it.

i also forgot to mention in the original post that i was a huge fan of the coyote time you added! its an easy thing to overlook, both from a player's point of view, as well as the developer's. so i wanted to make sure i thanked you for that nice quality of life addition

Submitted(+1)

Super cool game!
The movement's real fun and I really like that you can destroy everything.
Depth's a bit hard to judge because of the 2D sprites, but only really messed me up a bit on the rooftop level.

Developer

In a hindsight, I think you should've added some shadow so it's easier to tell where you land. Thx for your opinion. I'm glad you enjoyed my game.

Very cool and Stylistic! I had a great time with the movement and combat in this game!

Developer

Thank you. I'm very happy you've enjoyed my game.

Fun game! I like the aesthetics a lot

Developer

Thank you for the review, I'm glad you liked it

I had so much fun with your game. I did a speedrun in 1:22 !

Developer

Good job, I'm happy you enjoyed my game. You can turn on "speedrun mode" in the settings. It skips the tutorial and beginning cutscene. It would be a nice time save.

Submitted(+1)

Really loved the visuals here, especially the final bossfight. Nice mechanics, good job!

Developer

Glad you liked me game. Thx for the review.

That was so fun. Definitely my favorite game from the jam so far. I love how you can slide and jump to build up speed. I might try to speedrun it later :p

Love the monochrome aesthetic but in the second level, it was kind of hard to see where the platforms were. The movement is very fun and I was surprised there is even a boss fight and an end credit. Very cool!

Developer

Thank you for the review. I gave up some of the clarity in the second level for the aesthetics. I'm glad you liked my game despite that.

Movement and attacks feel great; the audio is honestly on point. The visuals are pretty simple but it still looks good since it's all unified. I think my biggest gripe is that you can spam attack and there is no reason not to. Otherwise, I can totally see this game being expanded with more content and mechanics! Good Job!

Developer

Thx for the review. I'm super happy you had fun in my game. I thought about limiting attacks, but I've chosen to not do that. I realized the game is hard enough, so there was no good reason to nerf the player further. Slashing things in half is supposed to be main fun of the game so ultimetly I've decided to not limit it.

This game feels good.

I could unironically play this for a long time, it feels like it would be great for speedrunning.

Developer

Before I posted this game I did a world record speedrun of it. Not that I had much of competition xd. Thx for playing and I'm glad you've enjoyed it.

Submitted

What was the time?

Developer

Like 4 minutes lol. But It was the only time, so an automatic world record, ez.

Submitted

I got a run in 2:32! GG

THIS WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!! Simple but awesome artstyle + the storytelling rly made the game fun for me. Oh, and slidejumping is awesome too!

Developer

Thank you for playing my game, I'm super glad you've enjoyed it. I've noticed that you played my game and commented even before submissons were over. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Great, but I gave up on the boss after my mouse kept going outside the game window in browser. Sprint/ctrl wasn't required to get there, though.

Developer

That's weird, mouse worked fine for me in the browser, if you'll ever want to give it another try I suggest to download the windows version. I'm happy you enjoyed the game anyway. Thank you for a honest review <3

Submitted

I'm on Linux so I can't run the Windows version sadly. :) Mouse did work most of the time, not sure why it suddenly "broke" when the last phase of the boss started lol. Really unfortunate.

Developer

I'm really sorry to hear that, I should've also exported a linux version too. My bad. It seems this bug is exclusive to your setup because I haven't encountered it in testing and I've tested the game on 3 different pc's. Still thx for playing.

Love the 2d art in a 3d space, especially with the handdrawn animations, that's a very cool look :D was fun listening to Evil's story too and the final boss was tough as hell haha

Developer

Thx for playing. I'm glad you liked the graphics. I was inspired by retro shooters like doom. And of course I love Evil, so I wanted to make a game where she could do some cool stuff.

Control controls the browser, so this isn't really possible Sadge.

Developer

You can either disable weird shortcuts in the browser settings or download the windows version. Sorry for the problem :(

Submitted(+1)

Very sick, gotta love me some 3d world with 2d sprites. Was fun to play, felt smooth too.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I choose this "artstyle" because it was easy for me to make in these time contraints. It also was easy to make my game look cohesive.

Submitted(+1)

yoooo! I love this so much. The art is great and the ending fight and credits are PEAK

Developer

THANK YOU, I'm really happy you enjoyed my game!!!
I've put a lot of work into it <3
Did you try to follow the advice you get at the end of the game, it's a cool surprise
