Description
I composed a Lo-Fi ambient soundtrack for a JRPG type game (like the sort you can make in RPG Maker). I used Ableton Live as my DAW of choice.

Hi Trevor! Very cool and unique atmospheres we got here! They have a lot of character and would work perfectly for the type of game you describe.
I loved the kind of sonority that you've achieved and its dark quality. Also the different variations of the motif.
GREAT WORK!!
So... I felt the atmosphere of a slightly relaxing Quake syntwave... Cool!
- "Descending into the Depths" is real spooky, I like it! Especially the big orchestral-style drum in the background, real Mines of Moria energy
- "It Begins" - I enjoy how it feels tonally similar to the first track, but otherwise very different (in instrument choice and such). Adds a cool cohesiveness! And that drum beat adds a whole extra layer that I'm really loving
- "Overworld Beat" has such funky percussion! I particularly enjoy the weird wooden-sounding clap thing. And the end tag with fading out into the flute! Gorgeous!
- I'm fascinated by the feel of "The End" - do you see this as a credits theme? It feels almost like the intro to a final boss theme to me.
The tonal throughline of all this is so rad!
Very evocative and coherent - well done! I liked the rhythms in Overworld Beat and The End, they kept things driving forward well.
This feels like I ordered it from Bandcamp, with a page with horrible design in black and white. It's a tape cassette for whatever reason. I am entering the dungeon!
Good job, cool and unique entry.
Nice dungeon crawler vibes from the soundtrack!
Nice experimental beats, love the mood they create.
I can see where your inspiration came from. Interesting tracks, my favorite was "Descending into the Depths".
Very relaxing. good job!
Overall the soundtrack is dramatic and succeeds at creating a lo-fi dungeon synth vibe, though tbh IMO it was a bit repetitive. Perhaps some variations on the main motiff would've worked well?
Good sound quality, had a nice time. Would have been nice to know more about the idea behind the soundtrack!
