Description
Set in the electronic genre with some inspirations from trance, composed for a 2D sidescrolling game, driven by its story. Made in LMMS with a few VSTs, the most notable being Vital and Synth1.
"Initialize": Introduction to the premise, characters and themes of the game, in a cutscene when starting.
"Net Stroll": Area theme, for when our character goes around the Internet and learning about humans.
"Divided": The player fights and evil version of themselves in a simple but fast-paced battle.
"Ascension": Last area before the final boss. Player goes up vertical rooms, with the Internet landscape in the background, getting smaller and smaller.
"Keys of Creation": The player fights their creator, in a boss battle combining abstract, code-themed attacks, and dealing with loss of control over their character.
"Observation": Ending theme. The player witnesses the conclusion of the story.

Message from the artist
Hi! Falcon Nova, known as lowGAME when making music, here! This was my first OST Jam. I had a lot of fun, despite not having a lot of time to actually think everything through and polish as much as I'd wanted. This was a huge challenge for me, and I hope you'll enjoy the results as much as I did producing them!

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
I felt like "Inside my world" implies a world parallel to the one we know. This interpretation directed this EP; an entity know as AN, living in the digital world, its "own" world, observing and learning from us humans. As such, the collection of tracks take an electronic and digital theme, and aim to the story of how an artificial intelligence watch us humans, from its own world.

Epic! It's awesome! I love the mix of classic instruments, cool beats and "broken" sounds.....

Keys Of Creation is my favorite)

Love the synths on this! Somebody already mentioned it below, but I definitely got reminded of some of the tracks off the VA11-Hall A OST; awesome job!

High octane tracks! Your selection of electronic instruments works with the theme of the story very well. My favorite track was "Initialize". Nice job!

What a high energy soundtrack!! It was a lot of fun listening to it, totally can imagine it with a side-scroller. Great work!!

You really captured the digital feel, that you were going for, that's for sure! It has a lot of drive and is mixed very well! Really great submission <3

You've got tons of drive and tension in this music! Really imaginative picture-painting with the different tracks as well, and the virtual computer-y atmosphere is fantastic. Really fun to listen to!

Submitted

Really enjoyed the nod to synthwave in a lot of these tracks. My personal favourite track is Ascension, as it feels the most polished.

Keep it up!

Cool sound design and style, got some retro vibe listening to your ost !

Really loved Observation sound design ^^

Good job ;)

This is so both unique & eccentric! Your use of the synths & drums are great, really enjoyed this one, especially "Net Stroll". Great work!

I quite enjoy your submission, I'm a sucker for electronic synth music overall but this is really good and it captures the feeling of a digital world quite well.

I really liked the blip noises in Net Scroll!

Really unique and fun entry!

Man, the vastness of the synths in the first track!! Nices ideas all along and I like you originality and ideas!

The 2D side scroll feel is undeniable. I love the upbeat and electric feel of your work. The synth really cuts through and puts me in the digital adventure you’ve described. Awesome work!

Oooh, I love how you went with a more energetic route. Like Calypso, the synths and drums reminded me of some VA-11 tracks like Digital Drive and such. My fav was "Net Stroll" because of the droopy synth. It was catchy and had a cool stereo image as well.

Really cool futuristic-sounding album. I liked Observation the most.

A very enjoyable collection of songs! Your harmonies were so pretty i found myself sitting back and getting lost in them, even on the more upbeat songs and before I knew it the song was done all too soon, good job!

Love the flavor. Surprised me. Net stroll fave also. Very consistent and good hooks through out. Enjoyed

Big fan of the EDM influence in this soundtrack! So much energy in the pads and kit. Love all the bleeps and bloops! Getting big VA-11 Hall-A vibes which is awesome! Well done!

You can really feel the influence from trance and electronic music in general, and I really like the idea, which fits perfectly with a 2D video game! I recommend writing a more detailed introduction to the game's plot because it would help highlight the music better and fully imagine it within the game. Regarding the mix and synth programming, there's nothing to criticize; everything is very clear and well done. 😊

Very unique style for this jam, and you were able to complete a lot of tracks in the time frame! My favorite was Divided.
