- Such delicate and fragile writing! Absolutely beautiful in how it uses subtlety and restraint to produce something that's just hauntingly beautiful throughout. I very much enjoyed the vocal gestures in "Mère, je t'aime". You do so very much with so very little here-- very impressive. I very much enjoyed the planarian figures in "L'appel de la Mer" up occasionally-- feels like a little nod to another "La Mer", but without being a pastiche, just a subtle and absolutely beautiful little reference-- it made me smile! I would suggest that incorporating non-musical elements (like birdsong or wave sounds) in game music can ultimately be more trouble than its worth-- obviously if you are working very closely with the audio team I'm sure there's a way to execute it, but that's effort I feel better spent on expanding your wonderful writing and sonic palettes. The length of the tracks too left me aching for more! You've written some stunningly beautiful textures in every single track and I would absolutely love to hear them extended and developed even more. Far from overstaying its welcome, this music goes too soon, I think. That's a wonderful position to be in-- you've written material that is so beautiful that your listeners are going to be left wishing for more. Stunning and beautiful work here, executed with utmost grace and skill.

To me, the artwork depicts a young girl accompanied by a silhouette of her mother under the sea. In French, "Mère" (Mother) and "Mer" (Sea) are pronounced the same way, creating a play on words in the music titles blending the meanings of Mother and Sea.
Accompanying Text:
1. « The sea beckons. A voice traverses the horizon and a gentle current immerses your heart. The music box starts playing, that melody full of nostalgia that you've known since forever. »

Theme
How does it fit the theme?
My first source of inspiration for this theme comes from the artwork. I wanted to combine the meanings of ''Mère'' (Mother) and ''Mer'' (Sea) that are phonetically the same in French, and that are present in the artwork. I secondly pulled inspiration from the theme "Inside my world" through my music. I did my best trying to transport the listener into the world in the picture through the combination of ambient sounds and the emotions depicted in the artwork.

Beautiful track arrangements and instrument selection. Paired with an amazing mix and water/underwater ambience, it became such an enriched, and fulfilling listening experience. Layers pulling and pushing into the mix, lots of emotional dynamic control, you really brought the essence of the ocean within your sonical vision! Really impressed!

This is gorgeous. Very evocative and emotional pieces - ideophonic in a lot of ways. Very easy to get lost in the ambience and caught up in the subtle melodies. Great layering of pads and strings, an choice selection of supporting instrumentation and voicing. It's glued together so well in the mix - kudos! Great work here. Best of luck with it!

Très joli, inspirant et colle parfaitement avec le thème et la représentation que je m'en fait ! Le début de La caresse d'une mère m'a tout de suite emportée. Le travail/traitement sur le son me semble super quali, je me dis que j'ai vraiment beaucoup de chose à apprendre et ça donne envie de creuser ces aspects là ! Franchement bravoooo!

Beautifully evocative, the mixture of water sounds, choir and instrumentation conjure up a magical atmosphere. There's a playfulness and childlike wonder that matches the theme very well. Sound selection, layering and mixing was very well done, the whole soundtrack feels very cohesive. Bravo!

La voix du 3ème, c'est moi ^^ (pour une fois que j'ose), et si je dis pas de bêtises le son de la mandoline est en fait celui d'un bandura (un très bel instrument). Les plugins sont incroyables en effet, je suis sur Logic et en cherchant un peu j'ai trouvé de belles pépites niveau sons. J'ai passé beaucoup de temps sur le mixage pour les rendre au plus naturel possible mais c'est vrai que je me rends compte que certaines banques de sons sont indispensable. Merci beaucoup ^^ :)
Et ben ça marche très bien ta voix avec le traitement que tu lui as fait :)
J'ai mis un tout petit peu de voix pour la 1ere fois moi aussi 😊 mais je suis pas encore au top sur le traitement.

1 - WOW! The water samples are my favorite. So much all around creativity here. It really starts feeling dramatic. Quite an emotional roller coaster. A very very strong start.
2 - Very very mysterious intro. Quite dramatic as well. Beautiful :)
3 - A joyful intro! So many little textures all over the place! Beautiful and ambient. Absolutely impressive.
