I created a sci-fi synth type of sound. The song is about 5 minutes and 18 seconds. I used FL studio for everything. I got to be honest, I really struggled with this them. I just could not commit to anything I threw against the wall so I just gave up my usually genre (Jazz/funk) and went for something different. I got really heavy on synths and reverb to make it seem super space(y). For fun, I added several key changes that also make a palindrome. Eb - Ab - Db - Ab - Eb. Imagine this playing while you are playing a space train simulator!
Difficulty
Make something that has elements that can be listened to both backwards and forwards.

Hey! Beautiful, absolutely amazing!
I think you perfectly achieved that space train feel you were aiming for and I really enjoyed listening to it! Also, most of the songs were good when played in reverse but they lost a lot of their feeling, but this one, wow it felt perfectly fine to listen to it in reverse too!
Amazing job, hope you get top 10!
I really liked the feeling this track gave me, I really felt like I was on a trip, very cool
Thank you :)
Thank you very much :)
Piano and chord progression somewhat reminded me of Mario Kart 64 Rainbow Road. Nice touche with the actual Announcements.
lmao yeah, that was my biggest inspiration. A simple extended sus4 - major - sus 2 - major - sus4 over and over again. I believe just like rainbow road. I added more extensions for that extra crunch at certain points in the chords. Thank you :)
Very nice track !
The cover art with the train in space reminded me of Galaxy Express 999 which is great (it is also my favourite manga so I might be a bit biased) and the track has a great vibe throughout.
I thought that the inverted drums were a bit weird at first, but as time went on, I started to notice that they sounded a lot like the chugga-chugga sound from a train, which is really fitting for the concept you went for (maybe this is the reason you went with this theming now that I think about it).
Anyway nice track so good job !
I have never heard of that manga but now I really want to read it! I have a long list of manga I want to read however :/ . The drums were supposed to just sound like a train and nothing else. I probably should have put more thought in them than just that same loop the whole time but I had trouble coming up with anything and I was at the point where I just kinda had to throw something at the wall and let it be. Thank you for listening :)
Train sounds were a nice touch and I really like the drums. Very clean reversal. Nice work!
Thank you! I was hoping it would be appealing to have a "story" on the reversal
Cool track, pretty unique idea and concept you crafted, nice chords and textures, good job.
Thank you very much. Nice chords is just what the doctor orders sometimes. :)
This is simply so much fun. I keep trying to come up with something more detailed to say but honestly I'm having too much fun for that. Great job!
I think having fun is the biggest reason of this so I take that as a badge of honor. Thank you
Sounds great! The space train sounds like a fun place to be, and I like your progressions a lot. I like how you implemented the palindrome in this one too, very cool! This was a nice listen!
Thank you. This theme was a struggle for me so I thought "lore" would help me a lot.
Very beautiful! The chord progression really fits this space-y feel you were going for. It surprised me how well the reversed part sounded. Great job!
Thank you. Space to me has chords with a lot of distance but still clash and rub. I took my inspirtations for the chords directly from Mario Kart Rainbow Road and Space Odyssey.
Probably one of the most creative pieces on this jam yet! I was super immersed with how this track and left it on in the background while I was doing other work!
Thank you. I'm glad our railway helped you stay productive. Even through the cosmos.
The train announcement to reversal was very cool and gave a nice reason for the reversed audio!
A super neat idea and it works really well!
Thank you! I like to think of it as the train coming by and leaving.
Where can I get my ticket to the space train, because I want to be on board.
Unfortunately we have no rail ways through your solar system yet. We plan on expanding soon ;)
This track really immersed me in the scene of riding on a space-time train in ways that I did not expect to be so into! Really nice!
Space train game when lol?
Thank you so much! Space train game comes out whenever I have the chance to learn how to make a pretty game or pay someone to lol. Until then, you'll just have to enjoy the ride through music
This feels so much like riding in Gummi ship in KH.
I should work on the next kingdom hearts then, lmao. Thank you
Holy crap this sounds so good reversed! And forwards of course :)
For me it's the the synth doing runs in the background that really makes it for me. It's just so good. My ears are happy, thank you. I hope the space train goes somewhere nice
Thank so much. Those synth runs were my last impulse add and I think it was worth it. The space rail line always has room if you'd every like a trip through the cosmos :)
<3
really good) I like how the track immerses me in the atmosphere
Nothing better than a ride on a sci-fi train :)
I liked this! Good job! The synths were great. I especially liked how your track sounded once it was reversed, very "sci-fi spacy".
Thank you! Space is just such a cool setting
I loved this one. I enjoy this kind of fusion jazz style and didn't expect to hear something like this.
Thank you so much. I tried throwing so much at the wall and eventually got this to stick
