Wow! I did not expect a resource management game in such a short game jam. Really impressive! I also loved the newspaper articles. And the music and visuals really set me right in the factory mood. Good job!
Great ambiance! I got some bugs, sometimes I had quests where people were requesting a certain amount of an unknown thing (instead of saying Beam x10 for example, it would be "x10" with no mention of what it is first), and the reward was 0. But overall really great job!
There is a clear and nice ambiance to this game, and I loved your work on the newspapers.
The tone and writing in them were really cool.
The pacing is a little slow. I have quit the game because I was not sure of what to expect for the rest of it, and I grew frustrated of not being able to stop some parts of my factory.
Maybe making it turn-based, or allowing the player pause/speed-up time, could have made the game better.
Overall, a really nice setting for a well delivered gloom ambiance.
I tend not to like this type of game, but putting that aside, it looks great and the music feels right for the industrial vibe. I had an issue which you can see similar on martinkozle's post below, where a pending delivery completely blocked my ability to close the build menu. Resizing the window would likely have worked but I didn't realize that, so I waited until I could deliver on it to be able to close the menu. Nice job all in all.
Thank you, look like a game breaking bug, we will fix it in the post jam version
I am guessing the assembly quests aren't implemented yet :D. I could only guess that the Army would want shells here. Still, very impressive how much you managed to implement in just 50h. The aesthetic is amazing as well. A thing that felt a bit annoying was having to check all of the contracts one by one every day. It would be cool to have a different sprite for each type of contract, and maybe a visual indication if it is deliverable. But again, I wouldn't expect that much QoL in this short amount of time, considering how many other things are implemented.
Thank you. There is a bug when you reach contracts wich requires assembly building that we discovered too late.
I love those type of game, and the art is great. I hope to see a more balanced version of the economy
Thank you, we are preparing a post jam version, so stay tuned.
It has a lot of potential and looks great. I would really like to see this fleshed out.
I can't describe how complex and good this game is, I wish you luck in the future release, but unfortunately I didn't see the connection with the theme of the jam (
yeah, initial idea was to give player choice to choose what contracts to do and the world around will changes based on this. But 2 days is not enough for this idea
I liked the game. It's a simple concept but it works well. Love the art too :)
For 2 days you did exceptionally well! Obviously lots of parts are still missing - a weekend is clearly not enough to fill in all the gaps.
I like the setup of your game - it reminds me of Frostpunk to a certain degree. The art is fantastic! Background image as well as the factory interior.
cool picture, nice to watch, good music. It was a pleasure to play it. But the economy in the game, in my opinion, is a bit broken.
Could idea, doing during two days is very impressing. The graphics (especially font) fits perfectly to steampunk convention. Getting information when the contract need to be fulfilled would be a good idea.
Wow. A lot of variety for two day game.
Played until the game crushed))
Thank you, actually advanced production isn't working properly, so half of the content is missed.
Got an error after playing for a bit, but I was really enjoying it up till then! Might need to add some instructions to the page as it took me a bit to figure out, otherwise awesome game.
Thank you
hard to understand but interesting concept
Thank you for giving chance to our game.
very crisp and strong art direction. needs a small tutorial. also a few game breaking bugs - orders coming with no item specification+reward, eventually ran into an out of bounds error and broke the whole thing
Thank you. Yeah, late game is broken, we found it too late to reupload the build.
art is amazing but its very confusing at first
Thank you, we completely missed the whole onboarding part.
I love playing games like yours. The game page is showing some information. Is this all players have to know? If not, maybe you can add what is missing there?
The description should be enough. It might be confused, so feel free to ask if you confused.
