- I thought your take on the alchemy part of the theme was very interesting, but the shadow part was a little thin on the ground. Really cool mechanics of transforming the frog to overcome different obstacles, and the use of voices to make the game sounds was a nice touch! Well done, really good effort.

Froventure is a 2D side-scrolling platformer where you play as a frog, rescue tadpoles, and eat insects to transform into different frog-related abilities. A pixel-art world with obstacles, dangers, and dark places to explore makes for an interesting frogventure.
Eat insects to gain abilities.

Okay holy butts. Your sfx is adorable. I just giggled with joy as I was playing. As a person who is terrible at platformers every jump and movement felt right and the abilities felt fun. The art was adorable and ui was easy to understand! I love that you took time to put the nuh uh sound for a wrong input!
Like everyone, I really like the sounds you made for this XD. I could never bring myself to record funny voices since i have other people living with me and sound insulation in my room is not that good :'). That being said was the tongue ability supposed to get rid of the bees ? I tried to use it on them but it didn't do anything. Or is it just for taking tadpoles ?

No, the tongue isn’t supposed to eat bees/dangers. It works for tadpoles, and we planned to also support grabbing insects (the flies for transforming). Unfortunately, that wasn’t viable in the limited time due to some technical challenges.
It is a bit misleading because the bees are rather small, small enough that you could theoretically eat them. We had some other dangers and predators planned where it would be more obvious that they’re just dangers. But we didn’t get to them, and spontaneously did/had made a cute bee instead. :)

We really hoped the surprising and fun sound effects would add a lot of character and fun to it. And it did. Cute art is the foundation, the sounds are the elevation.
