Title
The Ancient Ruins of Avalor

Description
I interpreted the image to be of an ancient ruin discovered by our party of adventurers. With that I decided to craft a score in the feel of a high fantasy with a world filled with magic, awe and wonder.

I hope you enjoy listening to the piece!

Wow, the composition really give me The legend of zelda vibes, is something I could see as the main theme.

Absolutely perfect, except I would have loved to see a more interesting rythm for the percussion, it kinda ruined the full epicness for me.

Yeah it's something I'm trying to get better with...

It's sublime. The orchestral build-up is epic. The subtlety of the beginning with the intensity of the rest.

Since it's so good, I'll indulge in a little criticism: from 0'52", when the brass joins the strings, it's great. Both sections play the same melody, but at the end of the musical phases, they separate to complete the harmony. It sounds weird to me. Maybe it would have been better to keep them in unison, or play a real counterpoint. What do you think?

I'm nitpicking because the quality is there and it's undeniably a very pretty piece.

lol No worries! I kinda added the strings very last minute so I didn't have anytime to refine it. I'm definitely gonna make some drastic changes (hopefully to improve on it)!

Thanks for the feedback though! (^_^) v

By how EPIC this sounds, I think the group of adventurers found exactly what they were looking for. 5/5

Harmonically this is giving me great Elder Scrolls vibes, but the orchestration feels more like i'm listening to the Narnia Soundtrack by Harry Gregson Williams. Absolutely stellar work!

Developer(+1)

Narnia was exactly what I was going for! Elder Scrolls funnily enough was accidental! lol I appreciate the feedback!

This is a very high quality composition, and it sounds excellent. Discovery is exactly the theme I'd think of while listening to this track. It's hard to criticize anything, I just wish it was longer, because I was really enjoying it :)
