I liked the level of detail both in the room and in the dialogue, and the way they interact. It's also been really fun seeing how each dev approaches how the 3 friends rule works in a practical way.

I think the game mechanic can benefit by having persisting logs on every new run. It would cut some of the repetition out, especially when a game is as cryptic as this (plus having to constantly worry about the timer). I do like the idea that you are piecing clues together of different characters by hearing the gossip they have about one another.

Great idea about the persistent log.

As I saw in Kyles stream, the log is quite buggy, when doing multiple runs. I really hope to come back to finish this prototype up to the point, I intended for the jam.

I'm really impressed by the small details you gave to each character and room.  Walrus's room was my fav.

Thank you. Although the composition is my work, none of it would have been possible, without the great sprite work, I found here on itch.io. So please take a look at the credits.

We will, the sprite work was great! You're composition really sold it, like when the little critters around Walrus ran away when you got close to him, that was really nice, cheers!

Haven't quite worked out how to progress, going to try again later. I like the idea of having to discover how to make friends within the day.  Maybe there could be some time sensitive things I have yet to discover? That room sure is foamy though!

Came back to this and spent the time to understand it a little more.  A game about uncovering everyone's web of friendship is a really interesting one to make use of the central theme.  I also really enjoy the unique feel of all the characters rooms and such.

Haven't gotten to the end just yet, but I've enjoyed this a lot so far. Neat concept which makes good use of the jam's premise, and very nicely presented.
One issue I've run into is an error when trying to select the heart above Big George. Crashes the game every time I try it.

Developer

Thank you.

The big george quest-line is not finished. That should not lead to a crash, but is seems i have forgotten a text-snippet here.

There are more quest-lines I haven't finished. Hopefully this is not a persistent bug. I cannot test ist right now.

I've had one run of this so far, really love the amount of details packed into the rooms, love the concept, enjoying it a lot. One of my fav things too, timer mechanics! Loved that tension as the time ticked down and then eventually seeing poor Champ's fate. I'm gonna try to get to the end before I rate this one, so far really digging it.

Only thing I had that was weird was the exe download, I couldn't get the room to scroll to explore the rest of the floor. The zip file version of the game worked fine.

Thx.

The non scrolling screen thing ia a bug, that i could not resolve before the dead line. Usually restarting the game helps.. As the game has autosave, your progress wont be completely gone.

I like the concept and presentation - there's some quite cute sprites and nice vfx on display. Couldn't figure out what to do after a certain point, but I'll give it another attempt later.

Developer

thank you.

Sadly i did not have enough time to make things and certain concepts clearer. I hope to come back to the project, but right now, i'm talking some time off.

Mmm, get some rest, this must've taken a lot of work.

It has a really cool concept. I like the idea of you getting vaporized if you can't maintain 3 friends.

I have only gotten the chance to check this out super briefly and will find time to go back to it and finish it.  But im into the art as a first impression.  Im only commenting now before finishing it to give a small flashing lights warning.

Photo-sensitivity warning:  the scene that plays on a game over has some lights thats that flash in a way that may be uncomfortable to some such as myself

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I will include the photo-sensitivity warning in the desription.
