Streamed this game briefly today
Love the aesthetics, cute character designs, great intro cinematics, smooth movement
Hope this can be utilised for another game in the future, good luck :)
Just like everyone else is saying audio is way loud, it would be nice to have options in game to adjust that. Wasn't super sure how to get the scrolls because I didn't know I could jump and had to look on the page to find out the buttons. Probably should include some control info in the game. The style was on point, visuals and retro vibes were fantastic and the controller felt pretty good too. Also wondering why we appear to be a ninja.
Good feedback! I'll definitely think about what you said when I update this game
Really cool tech demo, that N A I L S the retro looks! Music sadly is waaay to loud in the beginning.
Amazing visuals, had fun throwing around the shurikens, trying to aim at stuff. Will check back once you update to see the project in it’s full form!
Thanks Achie—I appreciate the honest feedback about the music volume. I'll make sure to turn it down in the next update.
Played it on stream if you are interested! https://www.twitch.tv/achie7240
Just watched--thank you for streaming it! I will fix this game so it lives up to the description
I like the the pixel art and intro cutscene . Wish we could see more levels and gameplay. If it's your first jam project, it's a good start. Good luck!
The aesthetics here are so nice and in general it feels really good to jump around and use the various weapons. I didn't find any bosses but I notice you say it's incomplete. Hopefully you can return and finish \o/
Solid foundation for a game! I like the sprite work and animation you've done! The intro cutscene was stellar and you really captured the GB vibes well. Would love to see what you could post-jam if you continue with this project!
Loved the pixel art and presentation in general, tight controls too, I hope I get to see more in the future
Movement feels fluid and responsive, and I am really impressed by the style and neat pixel art! A moving enemy that adds a bit of challenge would fit the game really well I think. Great work!
Graphics and style is insane for my opinion, movements are great. Hope you gonna add more game features in the future :)
Thank you! Yes there are many many ideas that I didn't have time to implement for the jam but I want to add in the very near future.
This hits all the right spots! Please if you have time and motivation, turn this into a real game!
After reading that I now have the motivation to turn this into a real game. But I hardly have any time. I'm determined to see it through, stay tuned!
The sprites and tiles are beautiful!
Thank you!!! I want to make more because I have a ton of ideas for this game to add after the jam
Such a fun little prototype, the mechanics and controls are tight! I was testing it out with my xbox controller and man I was having a lot of fun just moving around! I see the love and care you put into the little details of the mechanics and animation.
I imagine if this had been a longer project it would have been really entertaining! Great stuff though! Was testing out a few of your other games and I see the passion and skill!
Keep this stuff coming I love it. Very underrated!
I appreciate you testing it on the xbox controller because I don't have one and I forgot to mention there's controller support. I spent so much time on the player controls and animation that I didn't have any time left for enemies and everything else. So excited to hear that you tried my other games too! I will definitely continue to develop this. Thank you so much!
