If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
It's a very hard rage game. You'll lose many times before you finish it.
Any additional information for voters?
I made most of the sound effects, including the music, with just my voice and a Kazoo. I really enjoyed manking this game. The crappy art only makes it better. Perfect for speedrunners.

Challenging game. I included it in my compilation video series of the ‘So Bad It’s Good’ Jam, if you’d like to take a look. :)
I like the sound made with your voice.. the game is fun to play.. well done.
I didn't finish it, but I like it. The control scheme is pretty cool, and I like the sound design (I wish it were a bit louder, though). It's pretty good.
perfectly fits the bill
(and I'm honestly surprised that it took this long for me to find someone else who used the Only Good Instrument in their game!)
well done!
I really liked this game. Cool gameplay / levels.
Challenging concept. I didn't get the point of the time slow down, maybe because I didn't get far enough through the game. It started chugging on my laptop after the tutorial which made it really hard ot play.
Good concept with the shoot to thrust which meets the 'impossible' criteria because its such a challenging mechanic.
Nice work
Love the graphics, sound, and time slow mechanic. Felt like a solid game premise, however sometimes I would die randomly and not know why? Maybe I was clicking too fast?
Nice job!
Man, this is hard. Great design though. Really enjoyed the time slow down and the sound is absolutely awesome.
Intelligently designed tomfoolery
I wouldn't have said it better. I'm happy to hear that.
I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!
What I liked
I love the concept of shoot=thrust, even though it's kind of nightmarish in practice.
Amazing good/bad art and music.
What I didn't like
I didn't like the extreme difficulty, but I don't like hard games in general.
I think being sent back to the beginning with the level reset is what really does it in for me. If you continued where you left off after dying I'd find it a lot more tolerable.
Did I think it was so bad it was good?
Probably.
My thoughts on the modifier implementation
Like I said, I'm not a fan of super hard games in general.
Verdict
I think it's a good entry and a neat game but it's not for me.
If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns, please reply and I'll do my best to get back to you.
I really appreciate the objectivity of your feedback. Thank you very much for playing it and for letting a comment!
Despite the 'shoddy' graphics and sound design, this is actually a very polished game. the concept is very well executed, and the visual and sound effects help accentuate this.
This game is hard. Probably *too* hard (though maybe I'm just really bad at games!). Also the game seemed to get very choppy in the later levels for some reason.
Overall though, another really solid entry that shouldn't be overlooked. Well Done!
I'm really happy to hear that! Thank you very much for your comments. This was my first jam and I was so excited to participate. Do you mind if I ask you if you have any tips for making my game less choppy and laggy? I don't know what could be causing it.
This was really fun! I'd love to see speedruns of this game haha I also got a good laugh out of the mouth and kazoo sound effects. Nice job!
Thank you very much!
