So confusing but good game

Submitted

I was a bit confused at the beginning, especially with the instructions, but once I understood them, I was able to play. I loved the idea; it was very creative.

I was super confused at first but i slowly got it, very interesting concept that might require a bit of explaining beforehand, well done though!

I got 7 points but I needed to look up super long words to get there!  lol  This was a very very interesting take on the theme.  Very creative.

This is a very interesting game idea. Seems very challenging and even after playing through numerous times, I feel like I still don't entirely understand the rules for adding and subtracting score. I think I need the "explain like I'm 5" instructions. haha

My best score: 17

Gameplay: 5

Holy shit, what were you smoking when you came up with this idea? This is so cool! Gameplay is fun, i tried to use chat gpt to come up with words:DD

Theme: 5

Its such a clever idea lol

Aesthetics: 4

Otherwise really good but the instructions menu is a bit basic and the game over screen is basically just default unity ui panel lol

Sound: 3

Nice music, i think you could have added some beeps and boops when getting score:)

Overall its a really really awesome idea, congrats on even coming up with that:P Great submission, keep up the good work!

i'm so confused, but I enjoyed it, I think

Fun take on the theme! Took some time but I've managed to score 15 :D

I typed the word "instructions" 5 times until I realized what I had to do. poo poo brain XD
Fun.

hm… I’m lost though it’s fun

fun! where's the leaderboard! I need to know if my score of 9 was good or not!

Developer

That is actually a good score. My record is about 16

Funny concept! We also tried to play around letters in our game (it's completely different genre though).

I think it would be better for replayability to have random letters as input. And make scoring a little bit more clear.

Developer

Funny, that was a feature we were pushing for but couldn't quite make.

An interesting concept as well as a clever interpretation of the theme. My best score was 8 but I'm sure it would be easy to beat!

I had the same probem as Chris at the beginning but i managed to understand it, i feel that the game has a lack of communicating what its trying to do

Game seems interesting but I can't quite figure out how to play it? Do I type out a word beginning with the highlighted letter? Please could you tell me how to play so I can try again haha

Developer

ahh no worries. ya It is a bit unclear. so the first letter is just where you start from, you dont really need to type any word with it, and it really makes no difference if you do or do not. the thing you have to look out for is when you type a word, the keys used are indicated as "pressed" (just a little darker) and the keys that are pressed which are also next to the current highlighted word are the ones you can move to.

the goal is to make a path to the Q! which is the closest to the escape key. hope that clears things up. I like the game, but it could use a few tweaks to make it more clear and of course some more balancing can be done :)
