Very interesting concept, the compass would probably work better if it was fullscreen, otherwise Great work!

Thanks! Compass was a mistake, I guess, it has W A S D written on it and just shows where would you go if those keys were pressed. It was for "emulating 3D movement" but I failed I guess haha :,(

Really enjoyed that one, the voice acting, the stone etching style visuals, the fairytale vibe... The compass was causing me issues but everything else was absolutely on point and I did reach the end on the second try!

Amazing voice acting and sound design it was really trippy. The only thing was the compass that was problematic, it was hard to read and it was hard to tell if you were going well. But overall, a very interesting idea for the game.

That was interesting! I really like jam games trying diffrent things :] Only negative i can say is that  it was hard to deduce where i was going and the compass was kinda hard to read. Sound design was incrediable and because there are no visuals they helped a lot in terms of setting the atmosphere and the mood. This game is what i want to see in jams! Great work well done :D

Yes, I agree with you, game lacks difficulty control, but I didn't manage to implement that in time (I tried and failed because I'm very new to coding hehe)

This is cool! It was really unique and the voice in particular is excellent. I chronologically made it in a decent way but I wasn't sure how much progress I was actually making. I agree with the comment below that fullscreen would have improved the experience, but I think even having the window capture the mouse cursor would have helped - a lot of the difficulty i had was learning how to turn the compass by looping my mouse around the game window

I didn't have any words during the livestream that was great something i've never seen before. Like the other said great sound design, but the narrative was eerie too, gave me goosbumps. It did took some warming up though but glad I kept going.

Well that was a bit intense whilst also being wierdly relaxing. I can't say I enjoyed it, so congratulations. The art was very nice and in keeping with the vibe and I hated the voice acting so well done was it. This entry was as cool as my frozen heart.

Very creepy, I think I got lost, but the idea is solid, the voice and the audio were really great had some moments that were very creepy, I dunno how i feel about the color change when nearing danger, I honestly feel on the one hand it would have been more frightening with sound alone, but on the other hand i got more disorientated cause i just sorta reactively moved away from the red without thinking

Color change was implemented to help players not to die too quickly, it kinda contrproductive to the initial idea of playing with eyes closed, but game was too hard (and still is sadly)

Great work! This was a cool lil horror thing, however I had no clue where I was going or what I was doing. Sound design was good (wouldn't really have worked otherwise), did you do some custom audio solution or is it fmod / wwise running the audio? 

Some feedback:
Fullscreen, I'd really liked to immerse fully in the game. Locking the mouse to the window would also be nice. I also never managed to hear the crackles even after walking around several minutes with audio turned up loud in headphones. Basically, it was difficult to the point where it was practically impossible to (for me) even know where I was supposed to start going. Generally players think a game is way harder compared to the developer, because as the developer you know very well how the systems work and what to do. Might be something to think about. I love this idea though, I enjoyed trying it!

Fullscreen is really something that should've been done. 

Yes, game is quite difficult, and there is a fragile balance between "artsy" idea of orienting only by sound trying to remember where have you already been and, well, player's willingness to participate in that maybe-not-so-enjoyable experience. I tried to implement tips yesterday as well as stereo sound and sadly did not succeed in both at all (my coding experience is, well, a week - I never even tried coding before that). It's really making me sad that not a lot of people will play to the end, because I worked really hard on the final stuff :(

Funny thing is that if you saw an actual map it's not reslly that complicated, but without an image it turns out to be very hard. 
If you still would love to try again (SPOILERS AHEAD) fireplace is to the north-east from the starting point:)

As for the audio, I wrote the whole thing in love2d so I guess this counts as custom audio solution? :D

Gave it a second shot! After looping back to the chasm twice I finally called it quits. 
However, I noticed a file called "Voice in Fire.love". Having worked a lil bit with love2d before, I took the liberty to rip the whole thing open and look a bit inside. To begin with, for having programmed for a week, good job! The code was understandeable, and peeking through it I got a pretty good image of what the ending was.

I read through this (and poked around in the audio files), and it's like a very nice poem, and I bet it would look very good when played through (yes I am damaged / have done gamedev long enough to the point where I can visualize from just reading the code. Also it was not super complex). To me it's still a bit unclear how everything is connected, but I really like what I can make out of it all. (pasting it in here so others can get a chance to read it)

I think you did a really good job for your first time, and I think you should keep at it. You seem to be having really interesting ideas, and I'd love to see where things go!

Thank you very much! I will definitely try to participate in more game jams from now on. I had a very long period of depression until recently so was not able to do much, but now, well, will take from life the most I can while I can  :D Already have some ideas for the next projects :)
As for clarity - given that I hadn't much time narrative is a little bit all over the place, but I actually prefer things that are not very clear. I like David Lynch a lot :D
