Good old sokoban, I used to not like this genre very much but after Void Stranger my brain think in boxes and I had a blast with this game. It's very polished! The only feedback I can think of are being able to do a full reset of a level and maybe give more mechanical personality to the hot side, like the ice slide tiles in the cold ones. Good work!
This game is great. The gameplay is super fun and gives a lot more playtime than other games, while also still being challenging. The theme interpretation isn't as clear though. The sound effects are also quite loud, but the music is really good.
Excellent game! The music loop is pretty good, and i love the puzzle aspect of swapping between different levels.
Really fun. Great job!
Thank you!
The theme nicely connects with the puzzle mechanics, and puzzles are quite fun. It took a while to get past the 7th puzzle. Great job!
Thank you! Glad you liked it That was the last puzzle I thought really well, by 8th one I was out of time, and it ended up pretty bad, considering I was so low on time, I called quits for 9 and 10, I am surely gonna update this after the jam
Really solid entry, felt fun. I liked the theme interpretation, and the tiles sold it well. My only complaint is that there wasn't a full reset stage / back to main menu (that I saw anyway). It wasn't often, but I think I got into a bad state on stage 7 and I'm not sure the undo would've gotten me back far enough :D
The undo will work no matter what, now when I see I built the system to avoid double entries if x is on top then I don't place it on the stack again, and when the room is switched I place "switch" on the stack, if you were to switch 2 times and undo, it would happen only one time, the only thing messed up is that rest of it works sorta, though sorry about it should have added one, glad you had fun.
Really cool art, and it had some pretty interesting puzzles, and I the theme interpretation was really good, I love the idea of switching between hot and cold levels. The only thing I found was that around the 6th level the hot/cold switch wouldn't work and it would revert back to cold immediately, but otherwise it was pretty fun and it's crazy that you got 10 levels done.
It was a feature, switch doesn't work if the boxes collide with walls, and I only got 8, wanted to do 1
Not I mean I wasn't colliding with anything and the sound effect that usually would happen when that happened, didn't, also I tried moving the player and the box into safe locations and it kept happening, might have been caused by the undo moves or pressing the switch button too much but idk
Yeah I realized it later, I forgot to add sound effects for that possibility
I love your pixel art, it's adorable as heck. The last stage felt almost too easy, I think the one that gave me most pause was stage 5 or 6? And the sound effects were a bit on the loud side, but that's a common issue with game jam projects it seems...
Otherwise a fun little game for something made in three days! Gratz!
It was a feature, that level forced you not to switch, the switch can't happen if the boxes collide with walls, look closer
I want to play more of this! But I think there's a bug - when I press X, the terrain briefly flashes to the other world but then immediately changes back, so I can't do anything. Only sometimes does it stay changed. I saw your note that it won't work if you're blocked, but it's unclear what "blocked" means in this context, since I seemed to be standing on solid ground in both worlds.
It also happens if the box is colliding in a wall, I should have mentioned that in description
You did great!
really nice! i was missing some sort of tutorial and ui but other than that it was great
Really gushed it through due to job, but glad you liked it, didn't got time to even complete all 10 levels 😞
That's ok you did the best you could and it turned out great!
