really fun jumping mechanic! the perspective feels weird to play with though
Incredibly cool mechanic! I had some trouble starting off but once I got a hang of it it was super fun! I didn’t make it as far as I wanted, once all the platforms are covered in spikes I struggle.

I really love the visuals of the game, it is very pleasant to look at. The usage of perspective in a 2D game is also very impressive. My only complaint is that the gameplay can be a little hard too hard in some regards. But overall nice job.
True, I made the levels too hard to have a longer playtime, but easier levels would allow for more people to play and understand the game making them more likely to stay engaged for longer

When I saw you posting about this in the discord and thought it was a really ambitious idea for a game, so far it’s the best take on the theme I’ve seen. I don’t think it ended up quite working for me, just too hard to judge the relative height, and the movement is really slippery and hard to judge. With the flat side-view for the messenger it kinda felt like he was more rolling around on his side than jumping? The shadow is also in the wrong perspective and doesn’t track where it should be, but that’s pretty minor. Feel bad for him for how many times he died in that well :(
I really think it’s an awesome idea to have tried though and would love to see how it could turn out with some more time to cook :)
Everything you said is true. I had to make many last-minute changes to the Game, including on the Z layering which made it less consistent, though It was never truly "Working" Before. I'll try a shadow shader instead. An actual feeling of depth is really important in a game like this.
I think maybe removing the Slerp function on the movement vector is causing the Slippry-ness you're talking about. I'll try removing it.

The visuals of this are a little confusing, but they also look super cool! Every sprite has depth and it's a really unique look for a pixelated game! Very challenging!

The game should be more forgiving, since I died the first time in only 3 seconds. and it felt a lot confusing during my couple of tries.
Yeah,I should have made a slower dirculty curve Since you have No checkpoints. Or slowed the Speed for the Platforms fall. Thanks for the comment.
This game took some time to grasp, but it's worth it. The music is cool, and the idea is original. Overall, a unique and enjoyable experience
Very fun and addictive! Though the gameplay feels a bit weird. The fact that you can still see the character when it is below a platform make you think that you landed on it, so it's a bit confusing. Also, I often get hit by spikes even though I jumped. To complete the game, I had to keep moving so that the spike activating below me didn't kill me when I was in the air. I'm not sure if the online leaderboard works. I tried to submit my time but nothing happened.
The coments on the Gameplay are valid. The Z Layering Is weird and I never got to Fixing it. plus the collision is vary jank.
