This was a great submission.

  • The controls were cool, I liked that you could run in one direction whilst attacking from the other side
  • The art was really nice but it I think it could have been improved with small touches such has having more perspective on the blocks in the room
  • I liked having the map that slowly reveals itself
  • I thought it was cool that the traps also damaged the enemies
  • Also a nice variety of different enemies

Made it to the boss but couldn't quite beat it. Awesome job overall.

Well done.
Love the art and aesthetic.
The controls are tight.
The trap and enemy variety keep it interesting.

This game is awesome! As you saw, this is exactly the kind of game I tried to make as well in my solo effort Cave Bandits (https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/768146), but much more polished. Nice job! We should team up and release a procedurally generated, BoI-like game :) Well done!

I really liked turning the traps against the monsters! The random generation is interesting and the game has potential.

This is a really fun game! I really like the art and character designs, and collecting all the items for the npcs were fun. There were just a couple issues I noticed. I think it'd be a good idea to have the traps reset when you leave the room. I lost on one of my playthroughs because I accidentally tanked my way through a room of spikes, and then when I came back the spikes were still up and blocking the pressure plate so I had no choice but to die. I think the boss could also use some work. When it dashed across the pressure plates it would only trigger them sometimes, and halfway through the fight it accidentally went through the wall and couldn't move making it really easy to defeat. Overall though, this was a great and game with a little polish it could be perfect!

Wow, really great game. The first one that got full stars in all categories for me. Its amazing how you created a random map, a boss figth and errand missions in just 7 days, also the graphics and music are incredible. The team really has a lot of potencial. Where you from?

So much fun!
I liked the graphics and the game style, that reminded me of the first zelda games.

The theme is very well used and the game is well polished.

I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

This is definitly in my top 5 so far :D really well polished, fit the theme, a lot of enemies, and a lot of different random rooms and a cool boss fight, really well done.

The only things I would improve upon are maybe the soundtrack, and a more distinct main character, but those are minor things if you look at all the stuff you got there, really well done!

Beautiful game! I thought it looked very clean and well made and fit with the theme well. It was also kind of addicting and made me want to keep trying again after I died. The randomness of the labyrinth was very cool!

The game is unique and charming with visuals. The gameplay is solid and simple to understand and master. The gameplay is unique on every run due to a randomizer.

The game itself is great! I can't name anything wrong

I have a suggestion position and the movement for the character in the thumbnail.

The character in the thumbnail looks rather stiff. To make a character not appear stiff, make a figure drawing: draw the character as basic lines to capture the movement effectively, then add upon that figure drawing with other features such as basic shapes.

Great job!

I like how is the map generated, you can play it again and it's different every time :)

I think you should somehow show, what have you already collected and what should you look for.

Good visuals and fitting music, I enjoyed the music :D I like the cello and xylophone solo part.

The roguelike elements are polished and well generated, I mean the random world the generation is well done!

Other than the good technical stuff, the game was fun too :) !

Great job!

Phew just beat this after being at the edge of my seat on the boss fight! Super cool mechanic with how he interacts with the traps had me watching my every step. I liked the general room style you had and variation of monsters. Reminded me of the first Zelda.
I'm not sure how you generated what will be in what room, but on my winning run I had 3-4 rooms with the same layout. Would be nice if there was some exclusion to a room being selected if it's already chosen.
I also found if I hit multiple arrow keys at once the attack would go out in all selected directions. It was useful, but something to keep in mind if not intended.
Great jam submission, had a lot of fun playing!
