Art is wonderful and I love the secret levels. Fun callback to Mario! I couldn't figure out if that other ghost was referencing something, but the moveset felt similar to Samus, so maybe that was it? Anyway, lots of fun!

Developer

The other ghost was just a ghost of a generic miner. You also missed secrets in the first 2 levels. I’m planning on updating the game after the jam ends by fixing bugs, rewriting some of the mechanics and adding new levels

Love your game, love the character, and the caves, the style. this is my kind of game, just one complain, the 3rd level was hard with 2 goblins, seems like collision of goblins are bigger than the sprite, really hard one level. Great Work!

Could you check my entry? I'll appreciate it, Thanks!

Awesome work! Sound effects, movement, and mining are well done which makes the game feel great to play. I wish the spikes were  a bit more clear and that the momentum increase per picked up item was toned down a little bit but overall I really enjoyed it :). Nice job!

5/5 for the  gameplay and graphics   for me , very nice game i like it

Very clean little game! I can see an expanded version with different ores that have different effects and i think it'd be fun.

Nice graphics and satisfying animations, good sound design. It's a little short, but that's to be expected for a jam. My only criticisms would be the goblins' hitboxes are a little weird and the spikes look very similar to the ores, so i couldn't tell what was damaging me at first.

Check my submission out if you have the time!

loved the graphics! Well done!

It'll be nice if you check out our game too😁

Definitely 5/5 in the art, music, and theme categories.  Very nice!  I played for a while and no bugs so good on that end too!  I left a gaping bug in my game and just have to let it sit there because of the jam! lol

Check mine out if you get a chance!

I must agree with the other comments; the art and music and both fabulous and the game was a joy to play.  I think the game suffered a little bit from an awkward control scheme but other than that there's nothing bad I can really say about it. Great Work!

I would love if you checked out my game as well, thanks.

Really cute art! the game was really fun to play and the way you did collectibles was very fun. All around Great work!

It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!

Very charming pixel art. However having the blue ores only add to your max speed results in slipperier and slipperier movement as a level goes on. Goblins are unable to really be dealt with unless you have a raised plane or want to tank the damage as the ore throw really never has time to shine. Secret levels are nice but resetting the player back to the start of the level where the level was found with no progress is an annoying detail. It would also be nice if swinging your pick didn't kill all of your speed. Good menus, and a pretty well executed idea otherwise.

Nice looking game/engaging levels to move about in, held back a bit at the end with awkward 'combat'.
-Favorite part is how generally open the levels are, and the platforming doesn't feel too punishing, just fun enough to get about.
-I didn't like the level restarting after completing a bonus room, that did feel punishing, though you might not have been able to save the rooms progress after the transition/had enough time to implement that.
And the way the ore scaled your speed felt a bit awkward (top speed/acceleration, not overall/starting speed), though made sense for the moment in the level where it really mattered-and that was a nice touch.
As others have mentioned too, the spikes could stand out a lot more.

This was really fun! Nicely done, really like the idea and implementation and the music fits as well. If I had to give some feedback then it would be to make the material of the platforms a bit more sticky and the jump a bit less floaty, but very cool game in any case!

Super cool game. The game concept is so awesome. I also found the music really fitting and great job on incorporating one of the extra challenges. I would really appreciate it if you could check out and rate my game.

Really good game!

I liked the concept and the style! Keep it up!

You should polish more the player controls, specially how it decelerates or acelerates according to the weight it has. It's tricky.

I'd love to know what do you think of my game :D!

Submitted(+2)

Love the art style and mining feels very satisfying. My only complaints are that the movement's a little slippery and the spikes look very similar to the rocks you're mining. Other than that i think the game's great and hope to see more of it

It's so close.

I love the art and style.
The music suits the game well.

I would totally play this game in my spare time for fun if not for the follow....

You need tighter platform controls if you're going to have platforms dangling in the air.
I slid off the platforms a tonne because of the deceleration. (You can check out the devs of celeste for a good example of how to do platformer controls.)

Oh, and your spikes look almost exactly the same as a ore node after you've mined it. So I lost health a couple of times not remembering which was which.

The charcter control was very slippery, and the mined ores looked way too similar to the spikes. Other than that great game! If you could check out my submission that would be great!

Submitted(+1)

Good game. The mechanics were good but the charctears controld were abit to slippy for my taste.  graphics were my faviourte asspect by far. Also, i think 4 hearts instead of 3 would have worked better. still pretty enjoyable overall.

p:s: Please consider checking our game!

nice game! The spikes look pretty similar to the empty ores, which was a little confusing sometimes and the goblins are hard to beat, but overall is a great game! I really like the art!

Thought this was cool idea! Art and music were good. My only complaint was that I thought the spikes and the ores looked too similar. They were just a different shade. Took me a while to realize what I could and couldn't walk over. Nice job!
