Very fun game, it reminded me a bit of playing Celeste where you are doing mostly parkour in a platform enviorement. Awesome voice acting and the game in general is just very polished and fun
At first I mostly thought the level design was a bit bland. The controls work fine, and the art and music are incredible, but there were quite a few little niggles. Not being able to restart levels annoyed me, since the rating + timer seemed to ask for it. Also, the opening of Level 3 was very cruel.
But with the secret path, most of that was blown away. I really enjoyed the esthetics of the secret levels and the story they told. The rotation mechanics were implemented quite awkwardly and seemed unnecessary, as I had no trouble traversing the levels while avoiding them., but that felt minor. But then the "leap of faith" level, was an unsatisfying ending. I have scoured the second to last level, feeling that there had to be more. But I could not find it.
Still amazing work, regardless of the somewhat unsatisfying ending.
Very nice little game! Loved the music!
Very, very neat game ! Loved the retro style and the plot twist at the end !
Great job !
Loved the Mario references and the plot twist.
Good job!
A really great game! I love the game feel. The character was snappy on the parts where the space to go to was tight which was really good. The twist at the end also ended the game with a bang. Amazing job to you.
Platforming was a short but sweet experience with a great reveal - in particular increasing the aberration + vignetting and audio distortion with each level was a nice touch. The clues made me feel like I was actually uncovering something cool!
It is a nice game. The art is great and sound is great everything feels good
Good job man. Really nice graphics and music. Gives me gameboy feel.
Super fun entry! I struggle with platformers, and so they always seem too difficult for me in jams, but this seemed like the perfect difficulty so I could actually see all the work you did!
Nice! Like the art, music's great and i appreciate you added the volume sliders. Beat the game and found the secret level :) No complaints!
Art and gameplay were awesome! Love the style and good concept for the game. The obstacles were a great touch with level design.
Give mine a play if you get a chance https://itch.io/jam/vimjam2/rate/1200495
Wow man this is an amazing game! , I really liked the pixel art and the sounds
Wow, very nice game! It feels good to play, art looks cool and I liked the story twist and the easter egg. Well done!
Damn a plot twist and easter eggs, good job that was fun !
Verry cool, and very cute art style. really enjoyed palete theme, old style game boy.
overhall nice job, and those voice lines 5*, really not expecting
That was a really sweet little "speedrun platformer". Looks good, sounds good, the twist and the secret were truly a blast. I had a bit of trouble with the wall jump mechanic tho.
Really neat jam game !
Fun game! I loved the cure graphics and the voice acting! I got stuck on the level with the constant stream of bullets though... guess my platforming skills are a little rusty!
this was fun! i enjoyed all the diversifiers you used. the gameboy look was great! the speech lines from the pizza boss though was nice. i can't put my finger on it, but slightly digitizing it made it fit nicely with the gameboy feel, even though i know that's not what gameboys sound like lol
i think i would have like to have seen more pizza elements throughout the levels. like maybe the enemies are pizza toppings or something lol.
the spooky twist at the end was an unexpected surprise too!
good job!
Thanks for the feedback!
It looked so promising! But the theme of the game doesn't fit the gameplay at all, which is quite generic :(
But good programming!
Thanks for playing!
