I don't like smooth turning, the smooth movement felt off too because it uses acceleration, those are both likely due to the usage of Hurricane VR and Hexabody, so I'm not sure I can exactly fault you on that. The concept was interesting but the implementation didn't feel great since I had to carry around an extra magazine with me and when I ran out of ammo had to go walk back out and pick up a new mag or gun off the table. Body sockets would be nice so I could hold extra magazines with me and or extra weapons. The enemies felt like they didn't die in one shot to the head sometimes which was a little annoying and also not knowing how much health I had wasn't awesome. The angle at which you could grab things felt off as well as the aiming angle, I had to really tilt my hand forward to be able to look down sights. The physics stuff was neat and the fact that I could do things like shoot enemies through the crack in the door. Though they could seemingly shoot me through closed doors. It did churn my stomach a bit but I think that was mostly the smooth turn. Also the zones on the right stick overlap a bit so the ducking standing up and turning would often overlap for me which was slightly annoying, might be an index issue but you can set dead zones between the up down left and right to kind of smooth that a bit.

Also I like testing games so I immediately got myself stuck on the menu by taking the gun and throwing into the sky after playing around with the zero G element. It would be nice to have a reset gun option or button or something on that menu screen at least or make an invisible cage so people can't yeet the gun too far away. So I had to reopen the game.

Hey buddy! Thanks for testing my game, that's a solid piece of feedback. Appreciate the detail comment :)

Nice shooter with funny ragdolls.  This is more like an infiltration game rather than special delivery game. But very enjoyable and keeps you in the loop. Good work!

Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed the game!

That was really fun! I played all the way till the end. A couple things I thought were fantastic were the ragdoll bodies and the house setting. Guns were cool (Unlimited ammo was a bit OP) and the enemy AI was great for a short jam! I would have concentrated on building one level out, level 1 was the hardest of the 4, and make the outdoor scenery an actual neighborhood or street rather than the blank canvas. I also would have found some way to incorporate maybe "delivering a package" or "picking one up" as part of the mission. A DHL truck and a VO about special packages doesn't really hit the theme as they could just as easily be changed to something else without any changes to gameplay or design. I don't mean to sound overly critical, I really enjoyed this one a lot so I see a lot of potential, hence the points I brought up. This was one of the really fun games I got to play and completely finish during the jam!

Hey! I really appreciate the feedback, and I completely agree with you. I think in the end I kinda failed to properly incorporate the theme in the game haha It sounded amazing on my head lol but I ran out of time to create some more complex missions(delivering a bomb, collecting chemical weapon, capturing enemies, etc).

But, It was super fun to create this little project and I am planning to continue developing the game and potentially pushing it to AppLab on the Quest.

Thank you for giving it a try :)

Fun shooter!

I was confused at first and kept trying to load weapons/ammo clips onto a weapon slot somewhere. It wasn't clear that I should just grab a gun and run in. The ammo was confusing a bit too. Sometimes it felt like the rifle had infinite ammo and sometimes it ran out.

Some of doors allowed enemies to shoot you from behind the door before you can see them. I'm not sure which, but I would die a few times getting shot by an enemy behind the door.

I liked the multiple levels and how you incorporated the theme. Good job!

Hello! Thank you so much for testing my game. I realized that I made some mistakes with my ammo system during the final hours of the jam, haha. Adding sockets to carry guns and ammo is a great idea which I will definitely try.

You're absolutely right! The issue of enemies shooting through doors was quite strange, and although I managed to partially address it by setting up different collision layers, it's not completely fixed yet. The enemy system as a whole was one of the most challenging aspects, but I learned a lot from it. :)

Hey, that was fun, now i want to do a tactical infiltration game in vr like ready or not.

Speedruning through sthose levels i only had one meme in mind: No full auto in buildings

Developer

Thanks mate, I have some cool ideas for some tactical and stealth missions, yet I would need to heavily improve my AI enemy system. Thanks for testing the game! :)

Very cool !

I had to restart the game once because of the floating gun in the menu xd

Pro:

Good atmosphere from the voices / music and SFXs.

Fast and fun gameplay

Cons:

Once I played the first level it was very easy. The Pistol doesnt do a lot of damage while the Shotgun needs to be reloaded. The AR has infinite ammo and one-shots everything. I could just run around one handed killing everyone with the AR ^^

It often occured that when I wanted to grab the AR with both hands I would reach for the magazine.

I am not a fan of the smooth movement.

Improvements:

I would love the see a mechanic where you could bring multiple weapons to the mission (like attach them or in an inventory) and where every gun has limited ammo.

Overall it was absolutely playable and great fun to sweep through the levels !
Good Job !

Hey! Thank you so much for the feedback.

That's a great idea, I will try to implement some sockets to take multiple guns on the mission and adjust the ammo.

I am glad you enjoyed the game :)

Hey, I played your game to the very end. It was a very fun game for me, as shooters in VR are usually quite fun. A few things I would have preferred:

-Instead of multiple levels, I think going for 1 mission that was more interesting/had more features would have been better. By the end it felt like the final missions were just the same thing in simple assets (especially the 3 house level).

-Some way to holster your weapon!!!! I wanted to use the shotgun but there was no way I could without running out of ammo and going all the way back to the van to reload. If I could have a sidearm holstered that would have been great.

-Less ammo in the pistol (and maybe in the SMG)...I feel like I shot 30 times without having to reload the pistol xD

-Finally I think the biggest place this game lacked was with the theme. If you added just an element of finding a package from the house and bringing it back to the van rather than moving on from the level once the enemies were all dead, it would have had more about "special delivery" but as it stands there's really no delivery aspect at all, except Agent Eva talking about it.

Still was one of the most fun games I played from this jam! Great job :D

Developer

Hey mate! Thanks for playing my game, I really appreciate the feedback and I totally agree with you.

I still have a lot of different ideas for missions, like delivering a bomb to the enemy facilities, capturing the leader of enemies as a "package", hiding keys to open doors and capturing packages in houses, but unfortunately I ran out of time to implement them, it was the first time I set up an AI with enemies and it took me a bit longer than expected. But, I am planning to finish the game with more game mechanics and levels and try to pushing it to AppLab on the Quest :)

Yeah if you had to get past the enemies, plant the bomb, and then escape before the timer, or detonate it when you got out, that could have been interesting! It's definitely a solid foundation, good luck!

Good Job!  Just finished all levels!
Wow! This one reminds the HL Alyx Mod Codename OF.
TIP for players: You can open doors with your gun!
Nice voiceover ;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the game!

The Gunman Contracts mod was my inspiration lol

Loved giving this special delivery to bad guys!!! Really fun game with smooth movement, would totally play again if you made more levels :)

Ps: Sometimes it seem my second hand was blocking shots from the gun when using two hand on a single gun.

Developer

Thanks, man! I'm glad you like it. I'll check out the physics on the weapons, I really appreciate your feedback.

Really nice concept and I like the narration too. I kept accidently taking my mag out when holding the other end of the gun but I think that's on me! Nice hand poses too

Developer

Thanks man! Hope you had fun :)
