Very cool game! The controls are super nice! The sounds and graphics are very good! Great job!

A really well-polished game! The shooting feels super nice and the movement is really responsive. The idea that you need to die 5 times in addition to surviving to wave 5 adds a surprise element that fits well with the theme. Overall a really fun game. Nice job!

It would be cooler if each player ghost can loop their behavior a few times before vanishing, can't wait to see 5 - 6 ghosts shooting at the same time XD

This is a fun game.

I am quite confused about this one. I got to wave 5 before I died once. Than I got to the boss which insta killed me..? I didn't even shoot him once.

Maybe I should have died more?

Good graphics, I think a bit too much screen shake. More variety of enemies would be cool too.

Well done!

The post-processing makes the pixel art look awesome! More variety in the shooting sound would be great. For my liking the game was a bit too easy, but I understand that you can't make the difficulty perfect for everyone. I still really enjoyed playing it.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! In my previous games people were saying they were too hard, so I've decided to make this one easier. Guess I can't please everone, haha. I'll add more varied shooting sounds in my future projects

I love the concept of using your past self. Great game with a lot of polish.

Great game!  I love how you managed to make such simple yet beautiful visuals.  The game is pretty fun, and the concept of basically creating allies with your own reflections (or, "ghosts") was a neat idea.  Well done!

Wow, this game has such a good game feel! The lighting, the particle effects, the UI, the enemy design, all come together to make a game that looks beautiful and feels great to play! Some music would've been nice and the shooting sound got suuuuper grating after a while, but the base gameplay mechanic is really cool.  I enjoyed the mechanic of having the ghost repeat what you did before you died, it was cool having me and my ghost buddies mow down the enemies. I think the tutorial could be made a little more clearer, it says that I need to die 5 times to win? Or is there a certain amount of waves I need to make it through?

Developer

I tried to make some music, but couldn't come up with anything decent in time. I see how shooting sounds could get tiring after a while, I could randomize the pitch for some variety. You have to beat 5 waves of enemies during which you have to die 5 times, though I agree the tutorial could be better. Thanks for the detailed feedback!

This is a great example of a 4 star game, It feels polished and fleshed out to the point where everything feels great, but it could feel better. Mainly, a checkpoint system, and one or two more enemy types, along with a slightly better implemented main theme mechanic, and it would be near Perfect. Amazing game!

really fun game, it kind of felt like a multiplayer shooter at the end.

One thing tho. At the end there was this big eye and it said I should bring more friends , so I did a second run and died on purpose because I expected it to be some sort of boss battle that uses the multiple characters mechanic. But then it was just a victory round where you defeat the eye with the power of friendship or something. I found that to be a little dissapointing.

The enemy designs are great, the shooting feels very responsive. you could have gone a little bit lighter on the post processing tho in my opinion.

Thanks for feedback! I wanted to do some sort of a boss fight, but I was running pretty tight in terms of time, so I decided to just make it a sequence. About the post processing, you can adjust it in pause menu by pressing "p". Cheers!

Very nice graphics and sounds! I seriously can not believe you made this in only one weekend!

I enjoyed your game. i really liked your idea and the game play was fun. There are only 2 things that i could think of improving and those are: Differentiating the ghosts a bit more from the main character and adding a counter on how many times you allready died.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! The counter is on the left of the health bar, the glowing dots represent your deaths. Now that I think about it a simple counter could be more intuitive

This has a really cool style and love the help from previous lives. I wish the main character was a little faster as enemies sometimes matched my speed and followed right next and made them easy too shoot. Love the having to die a set amount to actually win too. Really cool

that was fun! it was hard to not die XD

Amazing submission. Had a lot of fun playing.

The idea with the 5 clones at the end was really creative ^^

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it

I really Liked it! The soundeffects were juicy, the art was simple but nice and the gameplay was super fun.

I couldn't get the web version to run on any of my browsers. I'll try downloading it, but I wonder if they'll let you re-upload the web version if we find there was a bug in the web export.

I'm looking forward to this - it looks so pretty!

Developer

I'm not sure what the problem is. Did you manage to get it work?
